We have been wanting to come here for awhile and suddenly our schedules aligned. Located in Mid City Mall off Bardstown rd so plenty of parking spaces available. We went late afternoon, walked and immediately seated. Nice decor and decent seating options. They mainly have booths but also have table options. It's wasn't busy, so our server/host was able to give us the menus and get our drink orders in. They were just 3 of us, I remember we all got waters and I ordered a Turkish coffee. Our waters came out and my coffee came out shortly. It's was in a paper cup but still delicious and strong. My friend ordered the baba ghanoush appetizer. It didn't take long for this to come out. It's was good and a bit chunky than some other places we have ordered at. The spicy relish was good & spicy too. The plus side is we didn't have to order 24 hrs in advance like other places we have been. We went ahead & placed our entrees orders. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, my friend got the chicken shawarma plate and kid for the gyro plate. While we were waiting for our food, the server brought our sides of hummus, salad and pita bread. The salad was delicious, so refreshing the pairing of vegetables & herbs was superb! The hummus was smooth & flavorful there's spicy relish on top! Our plates came out shortly & I wasn't expecting the amount of food on those plates! The food was hot and smelled amazing. The beef shawarma was delicious, well seasoned and easy to eat bite size and I loved the 2 rice options and the extra herbs, spices and tomato & onion slices on top. My kid loved his gyro & rice pairing. My friend loved her chicken shawarma. Our server definitely kept checking in on us until it was time for us to go. They were training new servers and we didn't know if we pay at the desk or our table. It took a few minutes to get someone's attention to get Togo boxes and our ticket. We paid at the table this time. We are planning on coming back on the weekend for the buffet.

First time here after hearing great things. It didn't disappoint. Buffet is on weekend and holidays so ordered off the menu. Delicious hummus and lamb beef kabobs were terrific! We met the owner who made sure he checked on us. Great experience.

Recent Change in Buffet Now the individual Food Prices are through the roof! Hummus $8 dollars.... oh please!. shawarma $12 - $19... ridiculous... even doesnot taste good. It's absolutely not worth the money with those prices. Extremely disappointment. other restaurants selling 12" shamarwa for $7- $9..... I won't be surprised that this restaurant will close down soon if they continue to have the same management who have no idea of how to run a restaurant. They need to hire professional help.

I eat a lot of Mediterranean food from different places in the US, some great some okay. My boyfriend cooks Jordanian/Lebanese food and appreciates authentic & wonderful food. This was my first time and this place is in my top 3 so far. Great tasting food! No complaints. Not too many choices but what they do make is yummy. No frills but a great meal cooked with fresh ingredients. Everything was very delicious, perfect flavors. Affordable! Tip well

It was okay!Variety of food. Clean place. It's better to steer your way through the dishes you actually like not the ones that wouldn't go with your taste minimizing the food waste. Quite the optimization problem!I found the rice to be very very fragrant with cardamom and cinnamon (I loved it), the lamb was slow cooked in a way that the meat became extremely soft. The kabobs were fabulous. As a whole it was a good experience through Mediterranean food.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Everything was delicious. Great variety and they did an excellent job of restocking the buffet when needed. Staff was very kind and professional. $42.98 + tip for the two of us. Worth the price!

When we walked in the manager was playing on his phone didn't bother even look at us for a few minutes. The waitress came to our table to get our drink order and brought our drinks and never checked back not even once. We were there on a Friday night during dinner and the buffet was empty even though no one was in the place the place food was terrible

The food was GOOD! I like to try different foods from other cultures and brought my family here to expand their palate experience. The food was beautifully presented in the warming dishes and employees ensured the counters were wiped and cleaned for patrons getting food. Wish there were more meat selection besides baked chicken and beef kabobs. The kabobs were not warm but tasty; the rest of the dishes were heated properly. The nice hostess and waitress were quick to bring us our drinks and kindly informed us that we could seat ourselves anywhere and pay when done eating. Nice establishment and welcoming to everyone.

This place is great. Food is delicious. Great selections. They have everything. They have several types of humus, salads, different types of chicken, desserts, beef, falafel, etc. I wish it was cheaper. Cost $17 per person. Will go back.

I'm overdue in completing this review. For whatever reason, I have a hard time figuring out what to say here, so I'll keep it simple: It's a nicely done buffet with all my favorite Middle-Eastern restaurant items. Everything is attentively presented, and all the dishes I've tried have been tasty and satisfying. I was fortunate enough to come here a handful of times before moving away from Lou, and will make an effort to visit whenever I'm back in the area.

It was okay. It took us about 50 minutes to drive there. Never been before and wanted to try something different went today and I gotta say it just wasn't that impressive to me so much that I doubt we'll go back. Out of everything m, I like the roasted chicken, tilapia and long grain rice. It was okay tho

I like to eat healthy. I avoid must typical buffets. Al Hamra Halal is excellent! They have multiple healthy options. The food is fresh and not greasy at all. I will be back!

Came to this place after smelling it in the adjacent mall. There have been some changes that became effective June 9, 2022. A picture is attached. We came in on a not busy Sunday morning at 11. It is a buffet that is decorated, but the food is amazing. Staff was sparse but helpful. Recommend and it is a vegetarians delight.

Great place to try Middle Eastern food! The buffet is split into various sections/offerings. Salads(over 5 to choose from), meats: chicken, beef and lamb, rice dishes, lentil, hummus (2 kinds) and egg plant dishes. Pita bread(run it through the toast to warm it up...trust me) and 2-3 desserts including baklava. Everything was fresh, light and filling. The service was outstanding, very friendly and willing to answer questions. Try the spicy cauliflower ?, it isn't overly spicy, but great flavor. The falafel was great...crunchy outside soft and flavorful interior. We will definitely be going again.
