I was craving Fried Pork Chops one day and drove 20 minutes out of my way to Angie's Home Cooking just to get some. I must say, it touched my soul. Not to mention I got my food so quickly and it was fresh! My favorite part of the whole meal... the Corn Pudding. And the customer service... PERFECT! Spoke to Angie myself! So if you want a good home cooked meal, for a great price supporting a family business, this is the place to come!

Will never ever eat there again. Food is not what expected. Go to Francos or Big Mamas instead.

The food is down home style, and there is a LOT of it. It's a quiet place where retirees hang out and talk knitting or politics or 'back in my day'. At least in the mornings, I've never been there at night. My husband was thrilled - he said they made a mean (biscuits and) gravy, almost like his grandma's.

The food was okay here. Not sure if I would go back if so I will update this review. To be honest I can't not remember how the food was I didn't write the review right away so I kind of forgot.

I think they should have left the Burger King there. Their food was better

I've eaten at Angie's several times and have always enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. Very tasty veggies and the fried catfish is crispy and delicious! I also like the croquettes. And those corn muffins? MMmmmm-mm. Highly recommended!!!

Home cooking place over on the corner of 26th and Broadway by the Kroger gas station. My work shop is down the street so I deceived to stop in and give the place a shot. Ended up being a great decision. Prices are reasonable between 8-12 a plate. But the plate comes with 2 sides and a piece of corn bread. I originally ordered the meat loaf, but they were out. Because of this they gave me a break on my bill. Instead I got the smothered pork chops with my sides being mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. I'm not a huge fan of pork chops but I've been trying to challenge myself lately to switch things up. I must say this was a good tasting pork chop with good flavor. The macaroni & cheese may be some of the best I've ever tasted. And the mashed potatoes were very good. I was very tempted to try a dessert (had the banana pudding in mind). But I was so stuffed from the meal and I realized I had to return to work and didn't want to be completely useless. All in all I will be back. Good food. Courteous staff. I'll try a few different menu options. But in the long run this place may end up giving a local legend like Franco's home cooking a run for it money.

I stopped in for the first time with a buddy of mine and his wife for lunch. From the service to the food, I gotta say excellent !!!!! The food was so good, I went back the next day. May prayer is that they open a second one in Sourhern IN. Until then for anyone in my the Southern IN area reading this post it's worth the commute. The food and is outstanding, and they make you feel like you are family...
