My first experience at this restaurant was at the one in Nashville. I was so happy when Bakersfield came to Louisville.
Some of the best tacos, chips n’ guac & great alcohol.

Highly impressed with the entire restaurant. Went for the 1st time and service was great, happy hour was a phenomenal deal for the food they offer and the ambience was very nice for a change. Can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing menu. Not a bad bite or drink in the place.

Authentic no, but good Flavors overall. Staff was friendly. I'm guessing this is not a place people go during brunch hours. Went on a Sunday, and there was only one other person sitting at the bar area.

John was our waiter. He answered all our questions as this was our first time eating here. Food and service were excellent. We will definitely be back!!!

We had a nice outing for my birthday. Bryce was our server, and he catered to everything we needed and asked for. The food and drinks were delicious! What a great experience! We will be back.

Had eaten at the Bakersfield in Nashville before but never the Louisville location. Good experience. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was decent enough for holding a conversation with friends.

If I could give this restaurant zero stars it would only be because of how dismissive the GM was towards me and my issues with my online order. Long story short I placed an online order from the link connected to this restaurant’s website and paid with no issues. When I came by the restaurant my online order had not appeared but the sweet waitress made sure I was taken care of by writing down the order and having it made. I came back to pick up my order and was greeted by the GM, when she told me the total I explained to her that I had already paid online and showed her proof of purchase and said that she had no order. I showed her the website I ordered from and we agreed that it was the correct one. Now I understand that things can happen with online orders but what upset me was how dismissed this GM was towards my situation, anyone in management knows that when an issue occurs it’s up to you to at least try to find a way to resolve it even if you can’t find the solution but no she simply shrugged and didn’t even bother trying to see what was going on since I did order from their website. The food looked good but with service like that why bother giving it a chance.
This GM should absolutely be retrained in customer service, soft skills, and conflict management because being a little more sympathetic about this wouldn’t have made things so disappointing.

Mikala was great

Great experience overall. Sometimes you expect the food and service to be good, which it was. But it's harder to create and unique and cool atmosphere/vibe. That's exactly what this restaurant did with the music selection. It was a bunch of old country/western, rock, and blues. Heard songs in there I haven't heard anywhere else in public.

Amazing service by Johnny. He hit the mark with the short rib taco recommendation and the margaritas were some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend.

It started at the beginning. Our waiter, Johnny, was new to town. So were we. Johnny, who should be a model, gave us excellent menu ideas including drinks and appetizers. Everything he recommended was off the charts delicious. The guacamole was fresh and perfect. Our favorite tacos were the AL PASTOR, CARNITAS, and the hard to pronounce COCHINITA PIBIL. The Pineapple Margarita was pure perfection; not too strong or sweet. The Agave & Tonic was very refreshing. I wished we were hungrier because the rest of Johnny's recommendations sounded fabulous. Great service from a friendly and helpful staff.
