Barrels & Billets Bourbon Experience

This place is amazing it's something you wouldn't expect. Great visit!

The Flight experience was great! I’m not a huge bourbon fan, however, their Smokin’ Caramel Apple cocktail w/ the Smokin’ Fastball bourbon was amazing!

What a great educational and fun experience!

This was a unique experience,I think all should try in downtown Louisville. You're able to create your own bourbon and then purchase said bourbon if you like what you created for a reasonable price.

Fun experience and very different from a distillery tasting. You can hand blend to find your perfect blend or answer some questions for a tasting where they work with you to find the perfect match! Staff very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the experience!

Wonderful time. Well educated on Bourbon history. Definitely didn’t feel rushed and had plenty of time to come up with my own recipe. The wizard was super helpful. Go here!!!!

Fun time to learn about bourbon and mixing!

Such a cool experience. Husband and I were visiting for our anniversary trip and we loved making our own bourbon. You even get to design your own label which was so cool to do for our anniversary. Definitely get tickets in advance to secure a time.

I received the bourbon blending kit as a birthday present. All 6 of the bourbons tasted really harsh as I don’t even know if their bourbon is aged 2 years. I looked on the labels and it’s nowhere to be seen. The sweet spot for good bourbon is 6 to 10 years. Most of these reviews are probably by people who are just wanting a good time with a custom made bottle. No one seems to comment about the taste……If you want a good ‘bourbon’ instead of blended whiskey I suggest going down the street to Old Forrester or Angel’s Envy.

It was really interesting to learn more about the original mixing of bourbons and fun to try our hand at mixing our own too! Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience!

Montana was an amazing host during our recent visit! Our friends visited and raved about it. We tried getting a same day tour and tasting but everything was sold out online. Motivated by the awesome referral, we decided to walk over and try our luck. To our amazement, we were welcomed for a walk in “Flight School” tasting. We learned so much about the history of bourbon, the differences between whiskey and bourbon and what baseball and Barrels and Billets have in common. We left enjoying very tasty bourbon and excellently curated cocktails - all for only $25! We’d highly recommend adding this stop to your next Louisville experience.
