Bearno’s Pizza was recommended by a local. We weren’t really “hungry” but wanted something of substance to snack on. My mom got the Stromboli Steak sandwich and my daughter and I got the BBQ chicken pizza (her favorite). The sandwich had a lot of ooey gooey cheese and a good flavor, but VERY disappointing that it wasn’t shaved beef but a beef steak patty. The pizza was yummy but too much BBQ sauce for me. The crust was a thin cracker style crust. Not bad but wasn’t our favorite. Ironically the ice water we got to drink while waiting was very good and refreshing, probably the best we’ve had in town, but anyway, the cashier was super sweet n friendly as well!! We picked up our food at the Taylorsville Rd location. So, maybe if we ever come back we try something different but would for sure go back for a second try!

Delivery. Big order. The salads were fresh and pizzas were so good!! I really appreciate that you don’t put stuff on the salad to keep it from turning brown. It was fresh and myself and my grandson loved it! The pizza was awesome, hot with loads of toppings. Seasoned well. Great delivery!

I worked here many many years ago. Not at this location but at one that is closed down.

Bearno's Pizza is a staple of the Louisville community and has been around as long as I've been alive and certainly longer than that. I also worked at a Bearno's in Jeffersonville Indiana when I was in high school. I had not had their pizza in a long time and we were near Bowman Field and there's a Bearno's across the street from the airport so that does help with the atmosphere.

Our 5-year-old son wanted a pepperoni pizza and we made a special request for them to cut it into 16 slices and they more than accommodated. We also ordered mozzarella cheese sticks which were delicious and the marinara sauce was so good that we took it home and ate it later on. As for the pizza we ordered the meat lovers large pizza and it was more than enough between me and my fiance to eat. The one thing that I would say is that due to the fact of the amount of meat in this pizza, the bottom crust was cooked to the point where it was crispier than it should have been but I understand why they did it. I certainly can't knock them for cooking food safely.

Bearno's is a must try if you are in Louisville and they have consistently been a favorite of the local community. Our waitress and the entire staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I will say this again: you get what you pay for. Bearno's, Impellizzeri's, Legacy Pizza in New Albany, and a few other places exhibit why this is true. Do not come here expecting to pay Domino's prices. I do feel that their prices are commensurate with both the economy their costs and also their need to produce a profit as a business.

Seriously. I've eaten pizza in at least 25 states for over 60 years. This is the best pizza you will get anywhere!! Get the Veggie Supreme with the Italian sausage. It's the best!! You will pay a little more than all the other garbage pizzas that are out there, but this is truly the best for the money.

Have loved this place since I was a teenager and my dad would pick up Bearno's pizza on the way home after bowling at Thelma Lanes. No place makes pizza like them.
Some 40+ years later I live on Cape Cod and can't find pizza like this. It hasn't changed and is as good as it ever was. It is a top priority to enjoy a Mama Bearno's whenever I'm home.
I've been known to buy a super large to freeze and pack in a cooler for the drive back to the Cape so I can continue to enjoy for a bit longer.
I've never gotten anything but a Mama Bearno's so I can't speak about other dishes, but the Mama Bearno's crisp crust slathered with just enough tasty pizza sauce, is piled with sausage, pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, black and green olives and covered with a layer of mozzerella cheese to hold it all together. Good eatin' folks.
My husband had a salad that was fresh and plentiful. We shared an ice cold beer served with an ice cold glass if you like it that way (I do). Perfect pairing with a Mama Bearno's.
Thanks ya'll for keeping my memories alive and well.
