Hung out here while in Kentucky a few months back. Great atmosphere with something for everyone. Happy to to be able to both get drinks in a gay establishment AND also watch the Bengals game. Enjoyable experience - would go back if in town.

I dont drink and am not a member of the lgtbq+ community but am a supporter. Also my foance drinks, she likes this bar, they are friendly but often are packed. Bartenders do a great job of accomating requests, and prices are very good compared to other bars near by.Parking: Some parking nearby, paid and unpaid.
Got there around 12:40 am. Bar felt more like a straight bar with a few gays. A lot of women and straight guys. The guy at the door was super kind and he let me in without cover. So I appreciated him. Loved bud Niall’s btw. Very sweet. I had a different expectation. Went to go see chill bar after.

I went here for the first time with some of my gay friends on Saturday 10/27 at around 11pm. There was a cover fee, and the man who was charging us, was extremely rude to us, unhappy that we did not have cash on us, and annoyed that we had to Venmo. This did not rub us the right way, and because of his attitude we left. People working at the front of an establishment are the face of the business and should be friendly and positive. Because of this, we went to "Nowhere Bar" where the people charging the cover were extremely friendly and greeted us with smiles. I don't know if I will ever bring myself to Big Bar again if this is the type of staff they choose to hire.

If you're in Louisville you must stop by Big Bar, which despite the name is actually not that big. Big Bar is the home of RuPaul's Drag Race alumni Dusty Ray Bottoms. Come for the drag show and you're bound to have a great time. No cover before 10 PM. Definitely come before 10 because you might be a bit disappointed if you have to pay cover.
