First off rest in peace Big Momma. I had the meatloaf and it had to be the worst block of meat I’ve ever had. Never had meat loaf with spaghetti sauce, the mash potatoes taste like cardboard and the green beans taste fresh out the can. Was the worst 20 dollars I’ve ever spent. Won’t be back.

This ain't it the smothered pork chops drowned in pale onion gravy topped with large onion pieces. The pork chops are baked has a lot of fat on them. expected them to be fried topped with home made brown gravy. and the macaroni last Sunday I had was mushy. The other sides I've had are okay. May the Lord rest Big Momma soul the food is definitely not the same. I ate one time after Big momma wasn't around no more and it was disgusting then I see nothing has changed. Somebody bought me this food after telling them I don't like the restaurant no more since Big momma gone. Guess he thought he could change my mind. I still stand on how I feel looking at the pork chops smothered makes me sick. Not pleasing to even look at.

I went to Big Mommas today wanting some good Soul Food. I was excited to see that is was some of the same foods I liked from when they were on Broadway. Was I disappointed, I ordered Fried chicken wings, mac and cheese and brown beans. The chicken was not fried and it wasn’t done, the beans were too spicy and the mac and cheese was not mac and cheese or old fashioned mac and cheese.So no I will not be back there for their food.I should have went to the place on Broadway.

I had order me a baked chicken dinner today and it was nasty the chicken was dry the Mac&cheese was soooo over cooked the mashed potatoes was watery the dressing taste ok but it was dry overall the food had no flavor.

Possibly THE BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had. Need to come back a try everything else. Aside from the food the service is warm and helpful, and the R&B in the background sets the mood. Also they fill that $15 plate up, ain’t like most places where you gonna pay 15 and leave hungry.
