SLOW SERVICE AND Ran out of food.!!! Returning customers got food but we were from out of town and Ordered another platter and it never came. After an hour and a half we left and they shut the door hours before closing time
Clean is keeping everything the customer sees, spotless!
Hope it was an off day for this place. I went based on positive reviews and felt like I went to the wrong place. It was dead on a Saturday, one couple on the restaurant side and me and my partner on the bar side. The server and bartender we're so bored they awkwardly hung out at our table. And they were slower than molasses. Food wasn't worth the wait. Drinks were okay, perhaps the only decent thing about the place. It was a good location if you're downtown but like I said, it didn't live up to the hype.
My wife and I enjoyed the evening at the Bistro 301. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual and the food was good and priced well. Service was good.
I was in town for a concert. There were two that evening. Restaurant did not plan for the events. 35 minutes to get a shot of bourbon. Really. Just pour it out of the bottle.
Was good... Kitchen was slow... Bartender made it up to us.
Really great food. It can get a little loud inside especially by the bar area. But when I'm back in town I'll definitely eat there again.
The service was good and the the dish I chose was very good. I tried the Fried Chicken Sandwich ("Nashville Style"), which was served on Texas toast. The cut of meat was good and had enough spice. It came with homemade fries which were also very tasty. Had a nice view of bustling (albeit cold) Market Street.
Just at here for the first time. We had a reservation which was ready for us even though we showed up a bit early. There was a concert happening at the Yum center, so they were completely slammed. So I'm going to tell you there was a major backup in the kitchen due to every table being full at the same time. Needless to say there were some complications with our order. I don't even want to harp on that because the reason I visit a restaurant is for some great food. Food that I can't make at home. THE FOOD MADE UP FOR EVERYTHING. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken with Bleu cheese cole slaw and the Mac & cheese. Had a pint of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale and a brownie for dessert. Everything was PERFECTLY COOKED. Truly great food. My only regret is that I didn't get to try the hot brown.
I really give this 4.5 stars - I would give 5, my dining partner said 4. We had great service, delicious food. My only note - I thought the tortilla chips were just a bit undercooked. Almost was too clean looking (design wise). Maybe a little more personality and this place is perfect!

I'd actually like to give this 4.5 stars if I could. We ate here a few weeks ago during a big conference weekend. We waited awhile before being acknowledged since it was so busy - however once they noticed we were waiting we had two members of staff trying to help us get seated. I ordered the BBQ salmon which I wasn't sure about not being a big BBQ fan and it was fantastic and I hope to eat it again in the future. My husband said his steak was great and the waitstaff were attentive. The chef came out towards the end of the meal to check on the table and I always appreciate that personal touch when dining out. I would be more than happy to eat here again.
A wonderful dining experience. A warm welcome from the beginning, great food and excellent service. The chef came out afterwards to check that all was okay, and we ended up having a drink on the house (not expected, but very welcome). As visitors to Louisville we were exceedingly impressed, and I would advise anyone else to check them out.
Good food and great location very close to Yum Center events and 4th Street Live. They cook a good steak! Try a bourbon flight while you're there, too.
Cozy spot with lots of bourbon options, but for our large group, the food took a long time, and many of the dishes seemed small compared to the price. Fish and chips and Nashville chicken were large and tasty! Salmon was pricey and a very small dish.
Went there for lunch & it was so nice, the food was fast & delicious. Big servings. Had enough for lunch the next day as well. Service was wonderful. Will be going back
