Stopped in while we were in the area after our riverboat cruise. BBC gave off very dive bar vibes, which we loved. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered several rounds of drinks, which varied from bourbon drinks to beer, and decided we should load up on snacks. The food was just average. The cheese on the nachos has good flavor, but overall they were cold. The garlic fries would be much better if they weren't on steak fries and maybe tossed in olive oil so they parm would stick on them. They hit the spot for what we need, but not sure I'd recommend the food again.

Almost seems super shady in the basement but that wasn't a downside- they had great food and delicious beer! The hot brown was delicious, and the chicken fingers were on point. Bonus they had foosball and shuffle board!

Tasty burger place located in a busy part of downtown Louisville . i have visited here a few times over the last few years. When either on a lunch break or just wanted a tasty burger. One of my favorite trips here was stoping in with a buddy before walking down the street to the Mercury ball room for a concert. Every burger I've had here is been top notch. The service sometimes can be on the slower side but it's never really outright bad. They do a solid job of cleanliness and manage crowds pretty decent. The wait times are usually shorter than what they say which is always a positive. Overall great burger joint in the downtown area. Worth a stop in if you are in that area or attending an event near there

This location of Bluegrass Brewing Company is a good one. I have an office downtown, so I have frequented this location for lunch, and I've always had a good experience. The space is large, I've never had an issue being seated with just two or with a group, and the service is always quick and friendly. They have a couple of dishes that I really enjoy for lunch, with my favorite being the Buffalo Chicken Salad. You can order with fried or grilled chicken, and I always add green peppers and order minus the mushrooms. They're great with updating the dish however you'd like it, and it always comes out accurate. Their menu boasts lots of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, and more, so there's plenty to choose from. And, being downtown, I think they're used to lunch crowds, so they can get you in and out in under an hour without issue. If you're looking for a good spot for lunch or dinner, I think this location of BBC is a fine spot to check out!

Totally impressed with the crab cakes!!!! I consider myself a connoisseur when it comes to crab cakes and these were among the very best I've had in town!!! Just in time for Lent! If you're looking for a great option to fish and chips, check out these crab cakes!!! My daughter had the salmon tacos and she too was impressed!!!! Hats off to BBC!!!!

While I do love stopping by here for lunch, this review is for a Rehearsal Dinner party that BBC hosted for us at this location! BBC Was absolutely the PERFECT venue and experience for my rehearsal dinner! Our wedding was at the Brown Hotel, just across the street, and I and many of my guests were staying there the night before the wedding. Having the ability to just walk (or stumble) back across the street to our hotel after dinner and drinks was such a wonderful convenience for everyone. The convenience factor alone would have sold me, but everything about this place was spot on exactly what we wanted for a memorable night. The manager was super friendly and helpful from the first time we met. They walked through their menu with us and gave us options on their typical menu or buffet style dinners, but they also offered to come up with something new if there was anything off the menu we wanted to include! The bartender helped us concoct a signature spicy margarita and made the open bar pricing extremely affordable compared to anywhere else we looked. BBC is a fairly large restaurant and they have a side room that can be used for private parties. We had a few special requests to accomodate our party of approximately 40 people: microphone for speeches, privacy from the rest of the restaurant, and the ability to decorate ourselves. The team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to rent a mic for us from the DooWop shop, purchase a curtain and rod to hang above the doorway to block off our room from the rest of the restaurant, and let us come in early to bring in our own flowers, candles, and other decor. They were amazing!!! The night of was absolutely flawless. The weather held for us (it was early July, so a little warm but beautiful out!). They had opened the doors for the private room so we could walk in and out to the courtyard while still staying within just our party. The wait staff was great keeping up with drink orders and settting up the appetizers. Oh and the food? SO FREAKING GOOD! All of the appetizers were amazing, I think everyone's favorite were the beer cheese and pretzels. Dinner was served without a hitch and everyone got to pick their own meal (we had orders sent before the night). Everything was delicious! We had a few different menu items to choose from, I picked the salmon tacos, other guests had the bufalo chicken salad, the burger, or the barbecue sandwich. Everyone said the food was awesome! If you are planning a wedding at the Brown and want an easy, beautiful, fun place for a rehearsal dinner, you can't go wrong with this BBC location!!!!!!

A few years back, I was working right next door to this location at Kindred. Then, construction happened and it was closed. I was sad. When I found out it was re-opening, I was super excited and the new building is better than ever. I have always been a fan of BBC. I like the beer and the food is so consistently good. The fact that they have healthy options is so nice. I enjoy the veggie burger, the Powerhouse salad and the blackened salmon salad. When I am not worried about the healthy aspect- I really love the buffalo cauliflower, fried green tomatoes, and wings. The menu is diverse enough to please a wide variety of palates. On our most recent visit to this location, our server was slammed before the Snoop Dogg concert at The Palace but she was still so great! We sipped gin and juice and had some tasty appetizers.

Stopped at Bluegrass Brewing after a show at Actors Theatre (A Christmas Carol) before heading home. We hadn't been able to get a bite to eat before the play. After the last play we seen, we noticed several of the actors outside (warmer in summer) enjoying some lively conversation and brews. Shuffled ourselves inside and sat at the bar. We were promptly greeted by the bartender and handed some napkins and asked if we'd like a drink. We requested a drink menu to see what they all had as specials and what type of place this was. (I've been to Bluegrass many years ago when they were located off Shelbyville Rd back in the day. very good). As we reviewed the drink menu, the bartender asked if we wanted something to eat, the kitchen was still open but was going to close at 11PM. It was nice of her to think about it. We went with a couple of drinks, 1 being an old fashioned. It was much different, but good from what I had in past times. We discussed old fashions with the bartender and how she made it. I will admit it was not short of the good stuff. We did order an Mediterranean plate for $10, it included Hummus and served with Olives, Cucumbers, Carrots, Celery, Grape Tomatoes, Crumbled Feta Cheese & Sliced Pita Bread. The hummus had a spicy kick to it and the vegetables were all nice, crisp and fresh. I would recommend if you not too hungry but like something light and healthy. I shouldn't say if your not too hungry because the plate came chalked full of many veggies. A lot more then we could eat at our sitting, so we had veggies for the next day with a take home box. The bar actually started to get more busy as more and more started to trickle in. Maybe other events in town were over and they wanted another place to come to. Whatever reason, most everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves or having a good time. We will most likely stop back when in the area and it's so conveniently located on the corner right by the parking garage.

It pretty awesome and kind of a curse to work in a building that's attached to this place. It's awesome because it's pretty cool to be so close to such a killer lunch place. At the same time it's kind of a curse to be so close to such a killer lunch place. If I had the time and the inclination I'd eat here every day for lunch, but I don't so I have to limit myself. There are a lot of cool lunch items, but my favorite is the Donte's Inferno burger. Don't let the name fool you, though, because it's a very mild level of "inferno". Another favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich. The service is usually good, but when there's a group of us (I'm usually there with a work group) it can, of course, get a bit hectic. Regardless, the food is usually delivered pretty quickly. BBC has a great selection of brews, although I've only been able to sample a few (re: workday lunch). The decór at this BBC is pretty sweet on the section that faces 4th street. There's a nighttime cityscape mural along one wall that's done in black and dark purples and blues, and the bar has about 20 taps of fresh, delicious craft beer. I have one -- and only one -- complaint about this location and that's the dining room where larger groups tends to sit. The decor is very drab (read: non-existent) and it is loud. Very loud. You get a couple of tables and it's difficult to have a conversation. Some kind of sound dampening would be nice and make the room much more amenable to conversation. That's honestly the only complaint I have, and not one that will stop be from going there. OH! And the bathroom floor sparkles!!!

The location is really nice. We sat outside, and it was just beautiful. The food was good, not great, but good. We liked the beer, and they gave me a free pint for my birthday. :) It is a little dark inside, but I think that's OK considering the lovely outdoor space. If were are ever back in town, we'll come by. Also, they have great soft brewery t-shirts. :)

Been here a few times. Its trending to be a place I go late at night when Im downtown to grab a beer and bite. They have beer for everyones liking. Ive been enjoying the Alt Beer on warm summer nights. They've great crispy hot fries and solid wings. Each time Ive been, both the food and service has been top notch and personal. Im looking at going back to relax in the large patio and maybe play some foosball or shuffleboard.

Arrived early for a show at the Brown Theatre across the road & decided to kill some time. The service was extraordinary, the beers good, and the fried pickles delicious! Price was a bit steeper than expected but pretty much in line with this type of place & location. We'll be back the next time we head to the city for a show!

Coming from a craft beer hotbed in FL I have missed that here in Louisville. BBC does help a lot. Ate there for first time recently tried 3 of their craft brews, all very respectable. The food is above bar grade. My wife had shrimp that she said was the freshest tasting seafood she has had in a while. Highly recommend

Regular food at mid range pricing. Kind of an eclectic place with a nice outside area. Food not real fancy.
