Bluegrass Brewing Company is a staple of Louisville. They helped to pioneer the microbrewery scene, and since 2010 they have occupied a former bank space downtown When in Louisville you have to try a hot brown. The hot brown at BBC features sliced turkey, tomatoes, bacon, mornay sauce, cheddar jack cheese, and smoked paprika served open-faced over sourdough toast ($17.90). This is a great example of this famous Louisville dish and the serving size is large enough that it could be shared. Bluegrass Brewing Company is worth a stop for great pub food and while you are there try a dank IPA.

Casual, fun little restaurant downtown Louisville. Reasonably priced. Service was good. Enjoyed prime rib ($26) and salmon tacos (about $16). When other establishments were empty, this place drew a crowd. We really enjoyed it but almost walked right by it......to enter from Main Street, take the stairs down!

I’m not a drinker, so I can only rate the service and food! Service was good, food was awful. I’d recommend not eating the blackened salmon tacos or the margherita pizza. Turkey club was ok though.

This place great! tasty cocktails! It’s just a relaxed, friendly welcoming. It reminds me of a non-junkie Applebee’s. Just something relaxing and that should be packed every night because everyone wants to hang out here.! Apparently the food tastes really good too. I didn’t get a chance to taste it because they close at the kitchen but you know I’ll hit up the white castle just about every day staple it doesn’t close. Went to pride fest wrapped up the evening checking this place out for the first time. I definitely suggest if you’re in town, give it a whirl they’ve been saying nothing but good things about the hot brown.! Happy Pride Louisville 2023 Love always Down 2

We went for n early dinner and were seated upstairs. The portobello sandwich is AMAZING The fries are thick cut. The parm fries are not tossed in any thing but just topped with the cheese.

Bluegrass restaurant that plays rap. It’s the opposite of what you’d think it would be. Menus look like they are make from papyrus and workers pants handing below the butt cheeks. Pro tip: having blue hair in this establishment will make you feel like mat home.

I have no intentions of writing a negative review, however, the BBC is perhaps a bit underwhelming. My wife and I had just arrived in town and wanted to grab a late lunch. The restaurant was empty, but for some reason they seated all of their customers in a crowded corner. Sadly, the guy next to us probably had a beer too many and was very loud (we struggled to have a conversation). The hostess staff was friendly. However, our waiter seemed to be quite aloof and disinterested. He wasn't rude or anything...he just lacked the people skills that you would normally expect from wait staff. He would mumble a few words and then suddenly walk away from the table. Strange! It took several trips to get our drink order and several more for the food. Since it was my first time in Louisville, I decided to try the 'Hot Brown'. I was not disappointed. The sandwich was very good...and filling! It could probably feed two people. My wife opted for the Fish and Chips. Again, the food was great. I had a bite of her Cod and it was cooked perfectly. Crunchy on the outside and buttery smooth on the inside. Unfortunately, as my wife was finishing up, she found a black hair under her fries (She's blond). We are not picky about stuff like that. We know it happens. And when our server checked on us, she assured him that she wanted nothing in return. She merely wanted to let someone know that there was a hair in her food. Again, our server strangely stared at the wall, mumbled "Hmmm...sorry" and then bolted away from the table. Nothing further was said. So in summary, the food was good. The pretzels were great . And the craft beers were tasty. However, the overall experience was lacking. In hindsight, I would l still give them another chance. And I would reluctantly recommend this restaurant. But as we found , their many better choices in the downtown area.

We had a great time, great food off the sandwich menu, great service and beer. The only drawback for some is they only serve their beer.

My wife and I were told we had to have a Hot Brown while we were in Louisville and traveled to the Hotel Brown which was closed on a Saturday afternoon so we found the BBC open and having Hot Browns on the menu. The portions were immense and the quality excellent for our Hot Browns. The service was friendly and the ambiance on the second floor were excellent. Well worth the visit.

(English / Español) Let's start with the positive: Bluegrass Brewery is downtown, so stopping in for a few beers is a pretty logical thing to do while walking around downtown. But, the problem is that their beers are only regular. Looking at the chalkboard, the beers promise (many of them advertise keg rest), but the result is average; nothing out of the ordinary. But hey, if you're in town, you won't lose anything by trying them.

Include me to the list of those praising the turkey club sandwich. The peppery bacon and sauce were a real Bonus.

Ready for some comfort food after a conference and they delivered. I tried a Kentucky Hot Brown, delicious and filling with a unique stout aged from Angel Envy barrels. I was very happy with the food, and the service.

This place was a little deceiving. Initially looking on their website I thought it was going to have somewhat of an Applebee’s or Chili’s vibe. However once inside I was very pleased with the food and their home brewed beer selection was surprisingly excellent
