Went to the Bob Evans on Hurstbourne on a Thursday night. It was dead. We walked in at 5:00 and there were only 2 other customers in the place. We were taken to our table and before we could get settled in our chairs, the waitress was asking us what we wanted to drink. We felt like she was rushing us the entire time. She had 2 young trainees following her around. After we placed our orders, we WAITED 45 MINUTES for our food. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. The waitress asked me if I wanted the burger "dressed". I said yes. Then when it was finally served, it was not dressed and those items were served to me on the side and didn't even come out with the meal. WORST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY RESTAURANT. The burger was overcooked. Dry as a bone. I know why it came undressed - it's because they microwaved the burger while in the bun. The bun was hard and dry. It is beyond my understanding why they would even serve something like that to a customer. Inexcusable. They did remove the meal from our bill, however. In addition to the gross food, I saw the male trainee lick his finger and pick at his eye while he was behind the counter doing who knows what. This is a disgusting Bob Evans and I really don't know how they stay open. This is our last time to any Bob Evans. It used to be a nice place to eat many years ago but something has happened to them. Sad.

Our service was all over the place with our waitress but the chef was fantastic! He actually was the one who sat us(black guy who was so chill and nice) he came out and was able to accommodate our weird order that the waitress was saying we wouldn’t be able to do. I wish we could have left our tip for only him without being rude. Food was super hot and delicious!
(Our server wasn’t bad just very scattered & very very loud and felt like she was rushing through everything even though the place wasn’t busy)

Tried the chili: not impressed. Tried the bacon cheeseburger and it was dry. Onion rings were over cooked. Drinks are very high for 10-12 oz glass you get. Definitely will go somewhere else in town next time.
