First time to a Bobs. Honestly, in the world of steakhouses, it was mid. I've been to plenty through my life. Skip the calamari. The pieces were small and overcooked. I had a tomato and mozzarella salad: fine, nothing notable either way. The beef was average, I had a NY strip. I've had better at lower priced chain restaurants. The bernaise sauce was watery and flavorless. Service was on point, no concern there. Location worked for the group I was with. If I were to have to go to a steakhouse in Louisville, I'd try somewhere else.
This was my first time at Bob's. We were in town for a concert and staying at the Omni. The service was some of the best service I have ever had, and I have eaten all over the world. The food was cooked to perfection, including their famous skillet potatoes. I will be trying Bob's in Nashville once I get home.
We absolutely loved our experience at Bob's Chop House in downtown Louisville. April took excellent care of us and was so sweet and fun. Our ribeyes were cooked perfectly, everything was delicious. Thank you all for a very special evening.
Horrible. Steakhouses are our favorites this place had the look and service but the food was bad. The kitschy carrot and pickled cucumbers were gross. The steaks were all cooked wrong. Rare was cold in the middle and medium was super rare. It was so disappointing. Then when we let them know they did not refire a new one but asked for our meat back to recook. For an $80 steak really low class behavior . Louisville can not meet Chicago steak house standards. Never offered to comp a drink or anything. Don't bother.
Bob's is fast becoming our favorite Louisville Steakhouse. Great drinks and food. Chef Moran never disappoints, he and our favorite server Anna surprised us with a yellowtail ceviche that was fantastic. The Filet Trio special is one of our favorites and the Ribeye is the best in the city. Our party of four finished it off with a large piece of chocolate cake and an order of the bread pudding. Both were excellent.
Executive Chef James Moran outdid himself again. This place is amazing. Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly, brought out in a timely manner, drink selection is fantastic. 10/10 recommend!

Not a pleasant experience. My wife and I love to dine out and we knew this place was pricey. However, with good food and hopefully fine dining comes an experience. Within 10 minutes we left our table and the restaurant. The service was so bad that within those 10 minutes we asked our server Kyle if he wanted us to leave and he jokingly said yes. Then the manager comes over and apologize and asked us to stay. Do not go. You will be rushed and the servers will be condensing. 0 Stars.

We ate at Repeal, Jeff Ruby, and Bobs in three consecutive nights. Bobs is not in the same league but costs the same. The service is far better at the other two establishments It is customary for the manager to come by at these high end restaurants, but the manager at Bobs was no where to be seen, even after a complaint. The food is not bad, but again not in the same league. I had a bone in ribeye at each , crab cakes at each, and creamed spinach at all three. The steak at Bobs is more like something I’d cook at home. Whereas the steak at Reveal and Tuby was quite outstanding.

The food and service was great up until it was time to pay. We arrived as a party of 14 and informed the wait staff beforehand that we would need separate checks for the 8 separate parties. As we received our checks, there were several errors where the wrong items were charged to the wrong parties. That, to me, was no big deal as mistakes happen. Here is where it became unacceptable for me. After everyone had gotten their food they were unable to finish boxed up, I then asked for the same. I asked for a box and the waitress stated she would box it up for me. A few minutes later she returned with a bag and gave it to me. Later, when I got home I was surprised to find that the food I was given was NOT mine. To me this is unacceptable when not only did I wait til everyone else's food was boxed up before I asked, to avoid such a thing, but I paid $93 for 22oz prime rib bone-in that didn't even get to finish later when my appetite returned. This is a very nice place with a very professional staff and I should be able to trust that the food you offer to box up for me will actually be given back to me. At this type of establishment I should expect no mistakes with something as simple as this: returning the food I actually gave to you, not food from a whole other table - remember, everyone else at the table had received their bags already because I was the last one. I was thoroughly disappointed with this. I had no problem paying the $200 for my meal and it shouldn't have been a problem to do what YOU offered to do( I asked for a box, the waitress offered to box it up for me).
I am in the food service industry myself so for an incident like this, the names of the servers are not important because this is not to get anyone in trouble or fired, but I want to point my comments directly to the manager because this is an opportunity for coaching. Bob's is too nice a place and I spent too much money to have to worry about an issue like this. If servers are boxing up unfinished meals themselves, please take the time to either properly train them in this area or establish a Quality Assurance filter to be sure stupid things like this don't happen. If there is a system where someone else other than the server is boxing up leftovers, please ensure that the necessary quality checks are in place to ensure people get THEIR food and not someone else's. Again... I paid $200 and only got to eat half of my meal because of this very careless mistake that should never happen. Not at a place like this. This doesn't even happen at Waffle House. Very disappointed.

From sit-down to paying the check, we were treated to a great dining experience. When you're a steak and chop house you need your steak to taste and look perfectly to your prefer, and what's what we got. The surprising thing is how good they do with seafood as well, as my S.O. and I ordered salmon and lobster and it was the best we've ever had. Would definitely recommend for a future special occasion!
