We had a great time. Celebrating for the top employee’s this past Wednesday 4/10/24 . We had a great set up in a private room and most of the people were exceptional. Everyone except our main server.. she was extremely rude to me and my wife.. very short, making passive aggressive comments. She even gave me and my separate checks when it was clear we were together! My wife and I are a interracial couple and this young lady with of African decent… I am of African decent and I could tell she didn’t approve of our relationship…. I’m not gonna post the young lady’s name because she still has to make a living. I just hate our experience was hampered by the interaction between her and us….

After reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot and was gladly surprised not only by the ambiance but by the signature steaks and side dishes I was able to try. All of this supported by a professional and service oriented waitress made the evening. The Medallions Trio, part of tonight's specials was amazing!

Lamb chops overdone. Fried potatoes underdone. NY strips superb. A giant carrot was served as the included veggie each meal. Dessert was spectacular. Service meh. Seafood sampler awesome but $125 for an appetizer? Pork chops overdone and too salty. Enjoyed the ambiance and the company of my family very much. $614 including $100 tip was very expensive for 1 drink each & 5 meals!

I ordered the prime filet mignon medium well butterflied & blackened ( Cajun spices) it came out well done. The waitress tried to accommodate with other meal options. However at that point it was a turn off. The manager of the establishment never came over to apologize or offer any assistance. as much as the food cost, you would think someone would have came over and apologize for the service that we received from the kitchen. Horrible customer service on the manage's behalf.

This was one of our favorite restaurant and steakhouse experiences in Louisville. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfectly structured and maintained, and the service was fantastic! We had one of the most expertly selected and prepared cuts of prime New York strip, which is saying a lot since I prefer ribeye with more marbling usually, paired with two delicious side dishes. The portions were very generous, so we were able to split the meal, with a $7 upcharge, and both left full!Miles was by far the best part of our experience. He was so professional and personable, and made excellent recommendations for everything we are, from the scallop appetizer, to the amaretto cheesecake for desert. He was so friendly and attentive, he really made the experience shine for us.

Service was very good, professional all the way. This is one of the best looking restaurants in our area. Because of a convention or something it was very noisy much more than previous dates. The food was excellent except my dish was the bone-in pork chop, huge portion, but pretty dry. The three steaks were good my dinner companions all said. In the past if we told them beforehand it was a special night we got a very good desert but they must've dropped that gift. Overall it was a good but expensive night out.

Our visit was for a business dinner and we could not have had a better server than Kyle , he made excellent recommendations and took care of our every need , we will definitely return !!!!

Everything was great. Got a fantastic booth for the two of us and our food was delicious. Nate was our waiter and he helped me with my bourbon selection. Steaks were cooked perfectly too.

Went in at 7. Walked out at 8 without having food ordered. If you want to sell $100 plates then there should never be an empty drink & people should be checking ok you regularly. Serving assistants were walking around aimlessly. Service was so poor we never got to ordering. Didn’t see a waiter for 20 minutes before we demanded the check. There is more, but the bad service takes the cake, if you ever got to order it.

The service was simply outstanding, great attention to detail, and fantastic knowledge. Those made our experience so great. The food was very good- we each had a steak (a medium rare ribeye and a medium small-size filet, both cooked to perfection). The steaks were a bit salty, and I realize that it helped get a great crust on the meat, but it was a bit too noticeable for me. The scallops appetizer with some bacon slices was delicious! As were the huge (easily 2 people) side portions of roasted brussels sprouts and smashed potatoes. Great flavors and done to perfection. We each had a cocktail at the adjoining speakeasy ('shh!', I think) and those were delightful-- a shaken cold Hendricks gin and a banana bread old fashioned. At Bob's we split a bottle of 'Sensual Chocolate' Syrah, which tasted great and paired perfectly with each steak. Overall, a great experience. It must be tried.

Well, the fifth time that I have been to Bob's - I received a gift card, otherwise I would have wrote it off after 5 then 4 then 3 then 2 star experiences. Our "birthday" table (by the way, no acknowledgement by staff, even though was "asked" by Open Table if it was a special occasion - so why even ask?) of four had a waiter who tried really hard, especially opening the wine bottle. It amazes me that a restaurant with $400 wines gives it staff $4 corkscrews. Anyhow, the wine was good although we had to ask the busboy to get us 3rd/4th glasses after two of us finished our cocktails because our waiter kinda disappeared. The three salads were all good. Once again, our two NY strips were cooked rare if not Black n' Blue and had to be refired and although they got the cook right, the outside was now hard charred. Our other two filet's were mealy and all though cooked properly, they fell apart into strings. My wife did enjoy her Carrot Cake dessert, although I thought it was too dense for a cake. I do appreciate that the manager did come to check on us after we returned our steaks, which had not happened our two previous times there and gave me his card telling me that next time he would "make sure everything was perfect". Not so sure there will be a next time, unless I get another gift card and/or personal invite for a retry as this make an average of 3.4 over 5 visits. If Bob's did not have a captured Omni crowd, they would probably end up like Eddie Merlot's in Louisville. They have a lot to do to catch up with Morton's and Ruth's Chris. Take my review for what's it's worth, but I admit our first time there was truly a "5" - but why has it consistently gone down over the past few years? To be fair, the smashed taters were very good.

For a 4 star restaurant the ambiance was the least favorable part of our experience. Service was just average. We do not like much engagement from servers but the service quality felt like being at a regular restaurant (hard to put into words). It was just a mmmmm....experience.

We enjoyed our meal and experience here. The steak was delicious. The side dishes, asparagus and broccoli, left a little to be desired. We will dine again and make different choice on sides.

Bob's Steak and Chop House was nothing short of a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend the rack of lamb and filet as entrees. Impeccable service. It was a fabulous place to celebrate a birthday.

Phenomenal ribeye steak, could have easily been the best I’ve had. The side serving of mushrooms were definitely the best I’ve ever had, didn’t know such a dish could be so notable, but they were. Excellent service from the hosts, wait staff (Lindsay) and team. Great experience, highly recommend.
