This place is the 2023 best whiskey bar for good reason. The food is great, service is fine dining quality but not stuffy. Definitely sit at the bar to chat about bourbon with the bar staff.

This was our first stop when we arrived late to Louisville. While their kitchen was closed we had the best time tasting bourbons with the guidance of their young bartender. He educated us on bourbon and made excellent recommendations! We had so much fun. Also recommended a late night fourth meal location that we walked too later. This bar has an extensive bourbon collection, great service, while we cannot comment on the food I am sure it's nothing short of amazing! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Everything about bourbon’s is first class. We sat at the bar while our table was getting prepared for us. Had such a hard time choosing from the list of bourbon. Be sure to try the Buzzard’s Roost as it is the creation of the house. After being seated in a cozy table the 6 of us (5 adults and 1 preteen) our server described the specials for the evening and we ordered appetizers. The goat cheese, fried oysters and roasted bone marrow were perfect starters followed by shrimp and grits, tomahawk pork chop, hamburger and Bangers and mash. Every dish was perfect and our server made sure that our meal was perfectly timed. We lingered a bit over dessert and coffee drinks. You can not go wrong with this experience. Thank you for a special evening.

We had not dined at Bourbon's for several years (pandemic, etc.) and thought we would give it a try again. The food was very good. We started with an appetizer (garlic goat cheese spread - delicious!) ordered salads and entrees. However, our server was efficient to a fault. The salads came out about 5 minutes after the appetizer was served and half-way through our salads, the entrees were delivered. We were in and out in 40 minutes. We will go again, but next time we will coach our server to slow down a wee bit to allow time to enjoy our meal AND the entire dining experience. A gentle note to the restaurant, please turn the music down a notch. While I enjoyed the music selection, it is difficult to have a conversation.

We loved the bone marrow appetizer. We also thoroughly enjoyed the steak frites and pork chop entrees. Save room for dessert! Highly recommend the key lime martini. It was mind-blowing.

We had a party of 4 and shared a charcuterie board. Entrees included 2 of the chops, 1 filet, and the shrimp and grits - all were amazing. Shared a bourbon bread pudding, then imbibed some after dinner cocktails - try the Key Lime cocktail, it's great!

Everything about our visit was excellent except for the noise level but more on that later. The food was fantastic and the shrimp and grits were like nothing we've had before. It was the most talked about dish after everyone tasted it (and stole more off that individual's plate). The cocktails were perfectly made and there were some nice unique options. Service was fantastic. The restaurant is on the smaller size with some tights quarters which made it louder than most. We were a larger party (9) and had two larger parties sitting nearby so I feel we may have been competing. I feel the noise made it difficult to have conversation within our table but much of that was due to our party size and the nearby parties. Nonetheless, the noise level did not have much impact as everyone enjoyed their experiences.

Wife was sick and had to cancel reservations days before dining. We were charged a cancellation fee and after calling the restaurant they refused to refund the charge. I offered to reschedule for the weekend but was told their “policy” would not allow it.Very unfortunate experience and I would not recommend anyone to dine at Bourbons Bistro.

This was my favorite resturaunt prior to last night, and Bourbon selection is fantatsic. Service was good. However the steak filet I asked for medium came undercooked, I'm talking beyond rare, close to uncooked. While some might like this, I found it a real turnoff that I didn't get a $55 steak cooked correctly the first time. The management noticed quickly and did give us a free desert, and offer to throw the steak back on the grill. However at that point I didn't feel like eating it. Waitress was great and did everything right, I assumed management would have at least offered a refund, this was not the case.

We celebrated Valentine's Day at Bourbon's Bistro. The drinks, food and service was spot on even with the constant flow of patrons in and out the door. I believe our server's name was Molly and she was sweet and attentive. We enjoyed our Old Fashions, the oysters and grits and the night's special, seafood pasta. Thank you for a lovely evening.

With a reservation, my husband and I were seated in a small two-seated table in the middle of the isle of the restaurant. Kept getting hit by staff/people walking through. It took 15 minutes to receive a glass of Champaign. We ordered two filets, one at medium and the other at medium-well. The medium came back medium rare and the medium-well came back very well-done. They were both completely wrong. The server never checked back after the steak was served (service was subpar). This was our first and last visit.
