This place was a little confusing to come into because we ended up in the back. Food was well worth the confusion though. Really glad I stopped here. You will have a wait. Just wait. It's worth it.i had their famous French toast and would absolutely get it again. It's so light and fluffy. Will definitely come here again.

Me and my cousin ordered the same exact thing except I added a little fruit cup and I paid 10 dollars more when I asked the lady why which was after I ate and I was on my way out the door she was rude for no reason. I didn’t want a refund or anything I was just curious. I won’t be eating here again

If I could give this breakfast more stars I would. Every breakfast from this point forward in my life will be compared to this breakfast. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was cooked to perfection, the grits were creamy and the sauce that brought it all together had unbelievable flavor with the perfect amount of heat. My husband had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The waffle was fluffy and flavorful. I can't recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back!

What a waste of an hour of my life. I researched this place to take my vegetarian lady, when we arrived we saw they have a pizza place too- cool, we can review that for our pizza review channels.
We were greeted and told to sit where we want and they’d get our order. We grabbed menus and spent about 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. The guy that greeted us eventually fixed himself a cup of coffee and sat down next to us so we left.
As a lesbian living in eastern Ky, I’m sadly very used to this experience. But to experience it in Louisville? I left half mad-half fighting back tears, and hungry but too upset to eat.

Met some omni family for breakfast. I got the vegan empanadas and thought they were delicious! Everyone liked their food. Wish there was more than one vegan option but still nice that they have anything. Bottomless coffee was nice. And the patio was beautiful!
Breakfast AF is a conundrum. I think I like it? The building itself just does not feel like it fits together. I am not sure exactly how to describe it. It is like it is trying to be a small town, wooded diner but can’t fully commit. I don’t mind the tree aesthetic; in fact, it can feel cozy. But the haphazard feeling of it all unsettles me. Regardless, the food surpasses the location. There are a few vegan options clearly labeled on their menu. I tried the vegan empanadas, which impressed me. They were warm, flaky, and heavy. It was a hearty meal in the morning, that only risked heartburn later. I would recommend Breakfast AF as a vegan breakfast if you’d like a more “dense” breakfast.
Good was good. Service was non existent. Confusing set up- no one is there when you walk in. You figure out that you order at the window and serve yourself. What’s the tip on the iPad for?
