Terrible Service, in fact no Service at All
We waited for over 15 minutes without any attention from the staff. When we finally asked for a glass of water, we were met with rudeness instead of service. Extremely disappointing experience.
Terrible! The doors directly to the restaurant are locked. The phone number is to a non-english speaking Spanish lady only to discover you need a room key to open the door to the hotel to even GET to the restaurant. I walked 20 minutes from MY hotel for nothing!! Never again.
Disappointed... We walked approximately a mile to this place because it is listed as an all day breakfast restaurant... got there around noon to find that they closed at 9 am ...I can't even begin to review the service or the food..
We stayed at the Holiday Inn recently for a conference, and had two breakfast vouchers so we figured we would give this a try. The food tasted like good quality, and the service was great! The GM took a walk around and wished everyone a good morning, and the staff was overall very friendly. The atmosphere was average; it’s a small restaurant.A small note is about food allergies. Two members of our party have gluten/wheat allergies, which we stated upon arrival. The waitress stated they would clean the grill, which was great! However when the food arrived, there were pieces of bread on both our plates. If you have a serious allergy, I would recommend eating at another location.
Dietary restrictions: Not many options for gluten-free, bread arrived touching our food even after mentioning this to the staff.

We has a late check in and were met with southern hospitality. We got a king premium room with a great view of the city...blackout curtains were very nice and easy to use. Added bonus, it was very spacious and after a long day of driving it was great to have a soft, comfortable, clean room especially when traveling with a small child. Great price comfortable consistent stay. Warm and friendly attentive service. There was a issue with our bill and Wanda the General Manager took care of everything. Staff was well traveled and hospitalable. Lovely stay.
Wanda, Wanda and Wanda! She is the GM and took such great care of me. I was coming off an unpleasant stay in Cincinnati and she arranged an early check in, showed me warm, welcoming hospitality and her and her staff just made me feel right at home. Room was terrific, as was the entire property and experience. This is a rare oasis in today's travel world.
My wife and 3 of our adult kids had to rush to Louisville from Nashville after their brother suffered a heart attack. I discovered that the Holiday Inn was just a few hundred yards from the U of L hospital complex. It was a difficult and emotional time for us and the staff was amazing! They were kind and caring and saw to our comfort. A warm thank you to Wanda the GM, Lani at the front desk and Chef Robert. Your hotel is now very special to us.
Nice little hotel near enough downtown to walk. Wanda and desk staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Jarid on night shift- he was a delight! We had a nice clean, corner room. 2 reasons I didn't give 5 stars: the parking lot is small/limited (there is an overflow option a few blocks away), and the restaurant was not always dependable due to staffing issues. But not a deal breaker, would stay here again!
I can not thank the staff enough for giving my family a memorable experience. The GM Wanda was terrific. The night shift clerk was so friendly and helpful. My 80 yr old diabetic legally blind mother was treated with respect and they helped us have a wonderful stay. Wanda made sure she had something to eat for breakfast despite being short staffed due to extremely bad weather, and the night clerk was able to help me and my sister come up with a solution to be able to get my mother a step ladder so she could get into the bed. She has mobility issues and sometimes hotel beds are too high for her to easily get into. Will try to stay there again but be more prepared for the next time on our end.
