C&L Don't Need No Sauce BBQ

Felt like i walked into someone’s house without knocking and asking them to feed me. Staff very very friendly. The tips had been cooked and warmed up. Green beans were decent. Mac was flavorless. Paid $18 overall but definitely should’ve been fair/carnival price $5.

Some friends and I were in the area for the bourbon trail and found this place. Some of the best bbq I’ve had.

Wonderful service beyond my expectations of any barbecue I've ever eaten. Will definitely eat here again this is my second time eating here

Excellent ribs and friendly people! Definitely lives up to its name because we barely used the sauce (which was also great). Worth a stop if you're visiting the area!

Parking: Between 5-8 spots of parking behind the establishment.

I ordered two dinners, neither was good or even decent. The meat was overcooked, the green beans were from a can, macaroni and cheese was soupy Kraft, at least the baked beans tasted good, more than likely Bush's baked beans.

His ribs are so tender & meaty that they literally come off the bone, and yes you can enjoy the favor with or without the sauce. Not to mention his homemade vegetables, DELICIOUS well worth your Money & Time. ??

Truck driver with some down time walked across street to try. Met immediately with warm smiles and amazing smells. Order was brought out surprisingly quickly. Had a warm chat with owners and headed back to my truck and enjoyed one of the best lunches in awhile. Ribs were full of smoky flavor and the salmon croquette was amazing. Praying I get back through here again soon so I can have it again!!

Amazing hole in the wall. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Great prices too. Best price to quality in Louisville.
Don't hold off on coming in just because it's a zoned house converted into a restaurant. Really, come eat here.

You definently Don't Need No Sauce!!I ended up stopping here for my lunch break yesterday 10/4/2023. I was in the mood for barbeque & I was not disappointed. I wanted the brisket but it's only available on Saturdays :( so I ended up getting the rib tip dinner with 2/sides (greens and potato salad). Really wasn't feeling the greens, but that potato salad was so yummmy. The ribs were great ...not overcooked, seasoned well, and I received a good portion enough to share!! The only thing missing was a toothpick lol :) I will be going back and whomever reading this should try it out!!

The owner and his staff are very friendly. The restaurant is really clean on the inside. The first time I ordered, I got a rib tip dinner with greens and Mac and cheese. The second time, I only ordered rib tips and one of the staff asked me did I want sides. I told them no because I had sides at home. I let them know that the Mac and cheese was not so great and the owner came out and apologized for that and gave me a free slice of cake to make up. I thought that was really nice of him. He told me that he appreciated my feedback. I still visit every weekend and I get rib tips, greens and potato salad now and a slice of cake but I gotta get it early before it sells out.
