Cheesesteaks in Louisville, KY

“I first tried Barry’s Cheesesteaks four years ago when we moved to Louisville and am so glad I did. In all my travels, including Philadelphia, I’ve never had a cheesesteak than can begin to compare to Barry’s. The amount of meat and toppings used is double the amount you’d get anywhere else and the bread is always fresh. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Barry’s is at the top of my list of restaurants to take all my out of town guests to. Barry’s story is so inspiring and I love the Christian atmosphere of his restaurant. 5 stars at every visit!“

“I ordered a sandwich today with provolone cheese instead of cheddar. As they were about to throw the cheddar on I said "that is supposed to be provolone". The man tried to take the cheddar off and I told him not to worry about it. He told me he would make a new one. I said that wasn't necessary and it was no big deal. No reason to waste what was being made over some cheese! He added the provolone. He offered me fries, a drink whatever to make me happy! I declined. I said it would be fine. As a restaurant owner I know how hard things are right now but that is the kind of service you want to see when a mistake is made. Super nice people just trying to make it right! “Very good. Everything was made fresh and was delicious. I got the prime rib jalapeño Philly. A little heavy on the bbq sauce. It was delicious but it was a mess. I also got the regular Philly and fries combo. Next time I'm just going to stick with that. The seasoning on the steak was great. Fresh cut fries. All in all a great experience. Will definitely be back.“
