I was looking for some good chicken to take back to Indianapolis and I stopped here, being from Louisville it’s what I’d expected as far as the food goes. I wish the sides were bigger and I wish I could have walked in to place my order but I was told I wouldn’t be able to enter oh well. That’s more of a Louisville problem not Chicken Kings, I enjoyed my food and when I return home I’ll probably stop by before I leave back to Indianapolis.

Today is 10/5/19 5pm . I will still give them 5 stars because the man at the drive thru I had never seen before..... he was rude. He got my order wrong and didn't offer to correct it. He shoved the bag out the window like I was bothering him. Maybe he was having a bad day. I also want to point out the parking lot was a mess . As long as I have been coming to Chicken king I have never seen things look like this. They still get 5 stars from me . They still have the best wings in Louisville and my favorite coleslawThe chicken and dumplings are fire !!!..... Drive thru only so I expected to stay in the line for 14-20 minutes. It wasn't as good as I remember. The wedges tasted like the oil was waaayyyy over due for changing. First time in years I've had bad wedges there but I'll give them another shot in the future just based on the past.

Best chicken in Louisville. Order online for carryout until 4:30pm otherwise you'll be waiting in the everpresent line of cars in the drive thru for at least 30 minutes. Chicken & Dumplings reheat very well; chess pie, dressing & gravy and spicy chicken are all long time favorites in my house.

As an out-of-state person, this was one of the best chickens I’ve had. Affordable, reliable, and delicious.Straightforward menu and great prices. The drive thru lines takes a moment, but they make it fresh! The mac and cheese was amazing too. I wish I had gotten some potato wedges as well; I feel like I missed out there :)
