I really wanted to like this place, but it fell short in many ways. The first time we tried to come here was on a Friday night and it couldn’t get in without a reservation. I’m a sucker for lines and crowds. I thought for sure this place had to be a hit if it had such high demand. When we came here most recently, the weather was nice and the patio was open. We did like their patio a lot, but it is by a noisy road, so there is a lot of car noise. We had reservations, but it didn’t look like we needed them on a Tuesday night.

I very much appreciated that they had nonalcoholic cocktails on their menu that were not just juice or soda. I didn’t especially like the cocktail that I got, but I appreciate its attempt at being a cocktail. It wasn’t overly sweet and did have some complexity as far as flavors. It just still felt mostly like a herbal soda though.

While it took them a long time to bring out food, I thought that their appetizers were acceptable, but there is nothing especially memorable about anything that we ordered. We were seated around 6:50pm and didn’t have appetizers on the table until nearly 7:25pm. I saw one table of ladies leave because of how slow the service was. Given that we ordered pickles, I felt like they should have at least brought that out so we had something on our table to snack on. The brussels sprouts were crispy and well done but I feel like this is one of those dishes you can get at many places and they do it well. We also ordered the pork belly bao buns, which were fine, but not memorable. Bread was soft, pork belly was fatty and moist. Flavors were ok but not really great.

I ordered the pork Ramen. It’s very different than any Ramen I’ve traditionally had. It doesn’t have your usual savory pork broth, but rather tastes more like Chinese medicine soup. It has a little bit of a bitter aftertaste with lots of strong herbal flavors. I’ll just say that it wasn’t for me, but I don’t think it was terrible. The main problem with the Ramen was that when I was eating it, I found a metal shaving that comes off of a steel wool scrubber for cleaning dishes mixed into a bite of cabbage and soup. While I understand how accidents like this can happen, It really made me lose my appetite for this place.

My husband ordered the fried chicken and paired it with rice and coleslaw. I think that this was a better move as far as strengths of dishes here. There is nothing wrong with the chicken but again it wasn’t memorable. The chicken took an extra 5 to 10 minutes to arrive after my Ramen. But it was hot and crispy on the outside. The chicken remained relatively moist on the inside. Of the dishes that we had this was one of the better ones, but again it wasn’t good enough that we would come back for another meal here given the price point, food safety quality, and slow service.

This restaurant really surprised me!
I love Roman soup and know a good one when I taste it—these guys know how to make it right. Definitely a 10/10! Great service, and a big shoutout to our server, Daniel—thank you for making everything so comfortable and professional. It was a pleasure dining here, and most importantly, the food was delicious!

Was sat at a table for 25 mins before leaving. Seemed to be 3 waiters/waitresses, they went to every table around us and even had three other tables that were sat after us that had a chance to order. It’s a small place so it’s not like they were “swamped” there was also other open tables.

We are from Saint Louis, MO and came to eat at this restaurant while in Louisville during a work gig based off of a Google recommendation that this was a safe place to eat for someone with celiacs. Daniel was our server and is an absolute delight! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and has a gluten-free menu ready to show, but 80% of their menu is already gluten-free. The fusion recipes are amazing while still holding true to authentic flavors and this restaurant is the reason why I will be coming back to Louisville for my own personal pleasures. I hope one day they will grow large enough as a company to setup shop in my city!

This is it, this is the restaurant I dream of at night and find my thoughts wandering to in the day. This is chicken, served in it's highest form, fried and served hot with sauce. I love this place, it awakens a hunger in me like an animal using asian inspired cooking combined with fried comfort.
The sweet soy 3 piece with potatoes and brussel sprouts is what I want to eat for me last meal and my first meal.

I ate at this restaurant before I discovered I had celiac disease (gluten allergy) and it rocked my world when I found out they breaded thier chicken gluten free AND had a dedicated frier for it. I would take a bullet for the restaurant and will cry if it ever closes like a widow after a spouse died in a war.

The place is an old house and the dining area is pretty limited but they have wood burning fireplaces that they use in the winter! It's a very cozy place, albeit small with a small parking lot. And their drink menu is phenominal, it's like if someone made a restaurant for me! (As most places that serve the dreaded wheat are not)

Dietary restrictions: Gluten. Free. Fried. Chicken.
And rice noodles amoung other sides, ask your server!

I had the lettuce wraps and ramen and it was filling and delicious.

Parking: The parking lot isn’t huge but we found a spot. Might be handy to make a reservation on the weekend. We walked in on a Saturday night and were able to get a table for the 3 of us but I wouldn’t have been surprised if we needed to wait.

Everything I’ve had here is great. We usually order the large tenders and brussel sprouts and one other side. We always take some home. Cocktails and mocktails are A1 as well.

Cozy fire lit gem. The Mango Beigbets were to die for. They serve them in a basket of 8-12 balls with powdered sugar and a special caramel dipping sauce . I ate soo many that ic ouldnt enjoy my main dish of curry chicken ramen. I was not a fan of the fried chicken , wasn't seasoned enough for me but the neighboring tables all enjoyed.
