We are from out of town since I been pregnant I haven’t had any Chinese food , but honey let me tell you they green beans smack they are well seasoned the rice the chicken !!!!! 10/10 we leave today and I’m coming for seconds thank you

Dirty! Don’t eat there! Was seriously a roach in my food!!!

I’m genuinely shocked by the low ratings for Chinese Gourmet Express, particularly at the Greentree Mall location. I’ve been a loyal customer for years, frequenting both this spot and their location at the Mall of St. Matthews. In my experience, this restaurant never misses.

The food is consistently delicious, no matter what I order. It’s a favorite for my kids, too—they ask for it every time we visit the mall. The portions are generous, contrary to some of the complaints I’ve seen. For around $10, you get a meal that fills you up, which is a great value, especially compared to other mall food options.

The cleanliness of the restaurant has always impressed me as well. I’ve never walked in and found it dirty, which is a major plus for a fast-paced mall food court establishment. The staff are polite and efficient, making the dining experience even better.

The only downside I’ve ever encountered is the price of their drinks. If you opt for a bottled beverage, it’s not a full 20-ounce size, and the cost is on the higher side. However, that’s a minor issue compared to the overall quality of the food and service.

If you’re looking for flavorful, satisfying Chinese food while shopping, Chinese Gourmet Express is a reliable choice. Clean, friendly, and delicious—what more could you ask for?

Went to get takeout and my card was run 3 times. They said it wasn't going through and it would go back onto my card tomorrow. I called my bank to verify and they said there was no refund pending and it would 100% post to my account unless they disputed the charges. These people are liars and untrustworthy. I am out 60 dollars now between 3 charges until my dispute is finalized because they screwed something up on their end and then tried to gaslight me into thinking it would just disappear from my account. They also said it happens which means other people are probably missing money because of their shady practice. Please stay away from this business.

Let’s be honest guys, this is the best Chinese food in Louisville. No shade to Double Dragon or Great Wall, they are in my top 3. But this place is always hittin, always consistent. Rice is never dry, chicken is always fresh, only downside is their orange chicken, lowkey tastes like a fortune cookie dipped in orange seasoning. Regardless, it’s family owned, they’re always in business mode so don’t disturb them. But if you’re hungry and visiting the mall, this is the spot and if you disagree you clearly buy your clothes from H&M, Vinyard Vines, buy boat shoes and think that Panda is the monolith for American Chinese. Cracker!

Don’t eat this “days!!!!! Old food “ The crab ragoon was like rubber. The egg rolls were at least 4 days old. I ordered bourbon chicken and I think I got some animals brain. I’m not exaggerating! Don’t eat here, I have to warn you!!!!!

I was confused by some of these reviews and I realized they were not for the Chinese Gourmet Express at St. Matthews mall. The one at St. Matthews is the best Chinese in Louisville. By far. Great menu, awesome, friendly staff, and good portions. I've been coming here for over 15 years and it's the only place I eat at the mall. My favorites are the Bourbon Chicken, Hawaiian chicken, Pepper Chicken and my daughter LOVES their Orange Chicken. Trust me, it's delicious.

Proportions tremendously shrunk, and the prices have gone up. Been going there for years after today. I don’t think I’m going back. very unhappy!!

I ordered potatoes and onions. They were so cold, that I asked for some fresh ones. He took my container of cold potatoes and put them in the microwave. This happened at the St.Matthews mall location on Dec 29, 2023 @ 4:25

First time visiting here-in the Greentree Mall. Food was extremely salty, more than most Chinese food, and the bourbon chicken was very dry. I couldn’t finish my meal it tasted so bad. Wish id gone next door for pizza at chicago city there’s is good. I usually enjoy lomein noodles but these had a funny taste and strange orange color. Very disappointing
