Pretty much same BBQ you'd get anywhere. Sides are ok with a decent variety. Sauce variety is good. Restaurant not as clean as others at this price point.
6/8/26 update. Service-wise the wheels are off the bus…15-20min to just get a simple order of brisket. Very sloooow.

I’ve been a long time customer of the Hurstbourne road location and others, but I will NEVER go back to this location. GM is rude and blatantly lies to avoid accountability. When we arrived to pickup an online order we were told the ribs wouldn’t be ready for 3 hours. Since it was an online order my card had already been charged 256.00 for my order. There was ZERO attempt to rectify the situation in a customer first manner. I shouldn’t have to ask you to contact another location to see if they can fill the order or what can be done to rectify the problem as you already have my money! We shouldn’t have been in the store for over an hour confused and frustrated. I understand mistakes happen, but how you handle them defines who you are. The district manager’s response to the issue is the only reason I will continue to patron this brand, but until this location has new management, NEVER again. It’s disappointing involving a district manager was even necessary, especially since we are frequent customers who never spend less than $100 per order.

First time ever eating at City Barbeque. From the smiling friendly host that greeted me when I came. Then placing my food order. Food came quickly. Found me a nice comfortable booth. I was so pleased to actually see meat in my green beans and my pork and beans. They were graciously seasoned. Corn pudding rocked. The entire experience was very satisfying. Including the entire staff were very inviting. Everyone so friendly and professional. Food greatly seasoned. Can't wait to bring the rest of my family. See you all soon. The food is OK, but it isn't the best value. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but if you are in the area and are craving BBQ it will fill the desire.

Food was cooled so perfect, kadence was so kind and respectful, definitely a hard worker and the GM Amber was there making jokes and putting a smile on my face the whole time , definitely go there!

Food was so good, I went to the Hurstbourne location and the GM Amber was so kind and I love how she cares for her customers she made my visit top tier also the lady Kadence took my order was so kind and helped me pick out my order , I will definitely be coming back soon!!!!

I had sampler platter. Turkey, Brisket, pulled pork and sausage. It was all good. Nothing exceptional. But good bbq. sausage skin was some of the tuffest ive ever had, was not a fan of that. Had a half slap of ribs also just a little dry but was tender and flavored very well. Tried all the sauces and I prefer the bush fire. It was flavored good but not too hot. I would recommend if you wanted some BBQ Had fries and corn pudding as sides corn was really good. Fries ok
