My mother cooked very good chicken Livers. But Lord rest her soul, this place has the best livers I think I have ever eaten. Oh my gosh the dessert cakes are delicious baked fresh from a local bakery. The sweet waitress having only been working there for two weeks. Did a great job. Ask for Cynthia.. We enjoyed the delicious food and will be back. Oh the wife ask do try the Chicken parmesan. Very friendly staff and nice clean restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Do have handicap parking and access.

This is truly a hidden gem! I loved everything about it. The staff was amazing, the food was divine, and the atmosphere was so refreshing!! Leslie waited on us, but she was training someone else (not sure of his name), but it was only his second day, and you couldn't even tell because he was operating as if he had been doing it for years! We were only in town to visit, but it's on our places to return to if we are ever in the area!

I am a Louisville native so I started going to this restaurant as a small child. For the past several years I have lived in Tampa. The Cottage Inn is a regular stop every time I come to Louisville. Earlier today, I entertained relatives from Cleveland. It was their first time to Louisville and they wanted me to recommend a good restaurant. We ate here and they agreed that it is a "must stop" for anyone traveling to Louisville. In addition, the new owners are friendly and welcoming. I only wish they could expand their business to Tampa.

Found this on the internet and not being from the area did not know where to go, looked inviting and it was a great experience, very good food with good sized portions and the staff was excellent. Will definitely be back as I visit the area again. Thank you for have the small town freindly atmosphere we we looking for. The total experience was excellent!!

A local recommended this place for good southern comfort food. We came in close to closing, however they still served us! The waitstaff and management were very hospitable and sweet. We got the chicken liver, fried chicken, tenders, and their cake. All of it was absolutely delicious and an eye opener to southern cuisine. This restaurant has been open since 1929 and seems to be going along strong for almost a century, that is a testament to the quality of service and food throughout their history. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a cozy experience with great food and great service.

So glad this reopened! Same great southern comfort foods and great service. My mom and I always enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. I’m not sure if it will always be $2 for a BIG slice of cake, (3 choices) But it was today!Lucky us??
