Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

We had dinner 5/1/25 at Cracker on Crittendon Drive. Our server was terrific, kept our glasses full, brought our bread, extra butter and jelly and was just super. Each of our dinners were delicious!! I had the Turkey and dressing, my SIL had fried chicken and my daughter had country fried steak! We will definitely be back!!

The food was wonderful but the server didn't meet your usual high standards. She very rarely came back to see how we were doing.

We have been patrons of Cracker Barrel for 28 years, when we discovered the restaurant while travelling through TN. Its hearty fire provided a welcome refuge on a cold, snowy day. After that, both while travelling and in town, we regularly enjoyed their roast beef and mashed potatoes entree, and their open face roast beef sandwich. Consequently, we were dismayed to see that those items were recently removed from the menu. We tried their strip steak instead, but the taste was off, like it was fried on a dirty grill. I guess we will have to revert to their chicken or fish choices (sigh).

I normally have excellent service at all Cracker Barrel, but this time it was horrible, and it seemed to be on purpose. Sunday Morning I took my granddaughter and had breakfast at the Crittenden Drive store #CB0417. The server #2139240 She was slow to take our order and then took other order before actually placing our order. She brought out cold coffee and a dirty spoon. She never came back, so I had to go find another severe and ask for a fresh cup of coffee, and please make sure it's not cold. Not only that, but she brought me a craft of coffee and a clean spoon. Our food finally came out and we still had not seen our server. When we were done I had to wave down the server whose name is Kimberly (Normally I don't put a servers name it a review, but this is not a normal complaint or review) and I told her that I need my bill, and she said "okay" then walked over to a table full of people more than 12 and started taking their order instead of printing my bill and made us wait till she had taken all of their orders and place them, then she printed my bill. (I DID NOT TIP HER) I HATED FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTER TO SEE SUCH BAD SERVICE, AND I COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY SHE TREATED US THAT WAY.

Everything was good as far as taste but we got carryouts for 3 people. I told the person on the phone that we all wanted cornbread. The order was ready as soon as I got there which was great. But, when we got home with the food there was only 2 cornbread. Very upsetting 😡
