They have been closing from October 1st 😢 I went there today but it was already closed.. Google map says it is open so I want let you know
I haven't visited this ice cream stand since 1994 but I still dream about the chili dogs. In fact, I was craving one a few minutes ago and wondered if the place was still open. I'm almost 700 miles away but the Google search result made me smile.
I love everything about Dairy Kastle, EXCEPT the EXTREMELY long wait times.
Soft serve not very good
W ehad a very long wait but the ice cream was worth it for sure. Best ice cream in town. They Definitely need to work speed. But they were all really nice. Just wish the pick up of order would have been a lot more smoother. Ordering process was great, but way too long to wait and business was definitely booming :) For sure a Got to try ice cream place. You get best quality amd quantity for your money. Great selection too.
Great ice cream
3 stars for food 5 stars for price point. Unfortunately only outdoor seating so my ice cream melted super fast in mid July. It’s a great place if your on a budget for ice cream. Noting amazing taste standard. Had banana split and asked for half because I hate wasting food it was still enormous so you can share and both can get your fill with the amount. There are other fried food options, like pulled pork sandwiches, fries nachos, hot dogs etc.
Since the new owners took over last summer this spot has gone down hill. I have tried a couple times in the past two years, the service was poor unsatisfactory and slow. The conditions are not as pristine and the servers barely greet you with a smile. The double lines definitely create mass confusion between the line for ordering and window for pick up. Now you’re given an order receipt and you wait separately-just hoping your milkshake will have the right consistency this time. Welp it is watery again but you can’t blame a girl for wishing! I’ve been a regular customer for as far back as I can remember. My father took me for day outings as I did the same with my kids who are now young adults. I use to call it literally our favorite place on earth. As a family we visited at least 2-3 times weekly during the summers. The magic of this place is gone. There’s not much left but shorter lines, tattered left receipts on the parking lot ground, and a few watery milk shakes served daily.
Great place! Could be long lines but it's worth the wait and there is a reason. 😀
Needs work on speed . For the last two weeks I ordered a lager soft serve ice cream and I got a medium and didn’t get hot fudge on my soft serve

I am so upset about this! I used to live on Lilly two streets down and went all the time! This was 8 years ago. I would get a chili dog and a shake or soft serve with a hardened shell. I went today and bragged about it to my mom, she is a dairy del gal, and I had a hair in my chili dog and my shake is so watery it isn’t even worth drinking. At least my moms vanilla and orange sherbert twist was good. I don’t think I could come back and waste my money.. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Great little ice cream shop! Highly recommend

We were in town for Louder Than Life. I had a soft served dipped in a waffle cone and my son had an Oreo milkshake.
Both were great. The wait time was reasonable for a busy place.
Highly recommend.
