I have been twice. Both times were great! Great tasting ice cream and a great place to go with friends.

Come on Dairy Kastle. Teach your employees to make an Iice cream cone. These are absolutely pathetic looking.

I’ve been a patron of Dairy Kastle for years and recently it has been transferred to new management. The quality is disappointing and the service is a disaster. I am always so patient with everyone there because I know it’s slammed and always tip. However, tonight was my last trip to the establishment, due to witnessing a worker put her bare hands into the toppings and sprinkled it onto my ice cream. If you have a weak immune system, don’t want to risk getting a disease, or are just over all grossed out about lack of sanitary control then avoid this place. What a disappointment and shame.

Gosh, I hated to change my review from 5 star down to one, but after my experience tonight, please step up your game. 45 minutes in line (and the line was not very long). One window didn’t take cash, which made my wait longer. The ice cream did not taste good at all. It had a bite like it was made with artificial sweetener. I sadly had to throw it away. Too many changes and I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 25 years. The portion sizes are much smaller, prices have increased, customer service not friendly and the ice cream did not taste good at all.

This continues to be one of Louisville’s best spots. The new owners have kept DK’s recipes and traditions alive, while bringing it into the 21st century (they take credit cards now!).Vegetarian options: One of the few fast food spots in town that has decent veggie options

Dairy Kastle is and always will be the best of the best. Yes, the line takes a minute, but that's because everyone in town knows how good it is. You can always pass the time chatting with someone you brought along with you, or chat with people around you and hear great stories about Louisville over the years. When you finally get your food, it is fresh and delicious. The vibe of the place is always amazing. Also, when we went, the manager checked on everyone 2 different times and told us how grateful he is for us to be there. The employees were so kind and helpful answering questions and making sure our order was perfect. Keep up the good work, guys!

First it took forever! Very disorganized and employees seemed to be arguing with each other. Than gave us smalls when we ordered large. And than lied about it when we asked them.

Been goin here since I was a kid. One of Louisvilles hidden gems. Changed ownership and service is now super slow and quality has went way down. Sad to see this happen to a staple in our community.

Have been twice this year and sadly won't be going back. We have went many times a year for at least 30 years and it is just not the same. Yes, the prices are higher which isn't a huge deal since everything is more expensive these days, but I don't mind paying if the product and service is worth it. The portions are smaller and the workers don't seem to know what they are doing. Someone said ownership has changed and it sure does look like it.

got a milkshake that was just a glob of peanut butter and barely blended ice cream. saw a teenage employee crying after getting yelled at. 5 person line took almost a half hour, none of their employees really knew what to do and looked very confused. really crashing and burning from last season, it's sad.

We are from out of town and saw good reviews. When we got there, we were second in line. After the people in front of us got their order, everyone inside disappeared for about 10-15 minutes. I believe the manager opened the window and said it would be just a couple minutes. We stood there for another 10 minutes with no one but him in sight. He didn’t even bother to attempt to take any orders. We finally got our order taken as many other people came and stood in line. Everyone after us got their order and we were the last ones to get our order after we were the first ones to order. We had only ordered a caramel sundae and a flurry. I heard they were under new management and it seems like they need to work on managing their people. They all were just standing around after we ordered and didn’t even attempt to start our order. Never will we go there again if we are ever in the area.***To the comment from Avery - I am part of the working class and have had many years in customer service from the age of 16 to now 60. I am a very patient person and did not have an attitude. We were waiting in the breezy cold of the day for over 20 minutes. I believe that is just a tad bit too long to wait for someone to even take your order when there were 5 people and a manager in there somewhere. Especially when the Manager was the only one we saw after the people in front of us left. He should’ve stepped up and helped out. That’s what a true manager does, not apologize for 10-15 minutes that he was sorry for taking so long. I get it things happen and your working with high school girls and it will take a little longer. There were at least 5 girls there and not one was seen after the couple in front of us left. But is poor management on their part. I was not saying anything about the girls themselves, because the girls were nice but just needed guidance as to what order came through first. I never hardly ever complain because I have been there as a high school student working with the public. It may turn out to be a better place, but what I saw yesterday it wasn’t up to par yet!

It's Dairy Kastle, if you don't like eating here you're an enemy of the working class, and anyone that's put a bad review I can probably guess it was your fault and you had a bad attitude with the delightful service workers (be chill and have some patience DAMN!). I can eat a chili dog from here in under 5 seconds bcuz it's that good. I love Dairy Kastle and so should you.
