Danny Mac's Pizza - Mellwood

I don’t have any pictures of the food because it’s just that damn good. By the time I got home, pictures weren’t even in question and it was gone before we knew it. Well, not gone, but who wants a picture of 2 slices and 2 crack sticks?

To start, I originally wanted a hot brown pizza but was told they’d have them closer to thanksgiving time. That’s quite alright, because all of Danny Mac’s pizza are phenomenal. Went with the cheesesteak pizza and an order of crack sticks.

Both were 10/10. It was a bit on the pricier side, but Danny Mac’s pizza is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in my entire life. It’s worth treating yourself from time to time.

Also the crack sticks are the best breadsticks money can buy. You have to get an order of them. This has to be your cheat day though if you’re on a diet!

Love the location, love the breadsticks. Imagine someone had little Caesar breadsticks and then upgraded them. They are truly amazing!! The pizza itself is good, but not that level. The restaurant is clean, and they have a good variety of TV’s and arcade games. They bathrooms were a little odd, and hot for some reason? But

This is my favorite pizza place in louisville and I am a pizza enthusiast. I love their extensive menu options and great service and attitude. My kids, my girlfriend and I have a blast every time we go and love to grab the occasional take out to enjoy at home that night and the next because their portions will fill you up. I highly recommend trying Danny Mac's and while you're there give one of the specialty pizzas a try, my favorite has to be the beef brisket burnt ends. Also can't forget the bread sticks.

The best pizza in Louisville, with the best staff. A constant favorite. Danny is so kind and pours himself into this business and our community. Also, thanks for the umbrella when it was pouring last time I was there! The cravings between visits to this place are real.

This is definitely my go-to for amazing pizza, great and friendly customer service! They will help you order and make suggestions, and they'll bring out the order to your table. It's a great atmosphere for little ones, if you have them. I don't only recommend this establishment, I HIGHLY recommend you try it. The portions are great, and I seem to always take the rest home. They make sure you are well taken care of.

I wait a few visits before I decide to give a good review. We’ve ordered several Pizza’s for Work parties and today I was able to pick the order up. The Staff is TERRIFIC. Friendly, helpful, gave us perfect.. yes perfect service. This place will be on our “go to” list for regular outings with family and friends. I’m not a “fan” of many businesses but this is a small business I am a fan of. And the pizza is great.. service was just “icing on the cake”.

Had a hoagie that was pretty good. I couldn't eat it all so I took what's left for later. I had ham my friend had beef. He wolfed his down. I'm too far to come back often but when I'm nearby, I'll stop in.

The food is incredible. I ordered takeout online which was seamless. The only complaint I have is that when I called the phone number, a man picked up the phone and he was EXTREMELY rude to me. I tried asking some simple questions like if I could swap tomato sauce on the pizza for white sauce, only to have the dude YELL at me: "WE DON'T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT. ORDER WHATS ON THE MENU." But all he had to do was tell me, we have white sauces (like ranch) but only for the menu items listed, or something of the sort. I hung up and ordered online. I'll probably order online again and I will NEVER show up into the restaurant because of this one absolutely awful experience having to speak with such a rude employee. I tipped the delivery guy 20% but I would tip 0% if I came into the restaurant. I don't think you understand how much this employee upset me and I hope that he got fired for being rude. This was an order from around Sept 7, 2024. Again, excellent food, delivery was on time, food was hot. But that one conversation with the rude employee was well worth complaining about. Buyer be warned! Good food with rude service!!

Pizza is below average for taste, not quality ingredients in my opinion, pizza seems rushed and lacked the type of pepperoni which was advertised on a poster in the back going towards the bathrooms, if they used the cup pepperonis instead of the ultra processed plastic bag packaged peperoni, it would taste so much better!
