I have a rare opportunity to compare 2 shops. Getting service at the incomparable GatesAuto (5stars). So 1 cup at Days and another at Safai. Days - Great coffee. Great service, warm atmosphere. Tip suggestions begin at 20% which is my not new peeve, but for $2 and change and the always fine service I wasn't looking to voice any displeasure w 15%, so not too big of a bother. Days is my spot even if I'm not really a daily.

Days is a quaint Cafe with wooden booths and a lounge with squishy chairs and a couch. You can enjoy your favorite coffee beverage, Chai, hot chocolate, apple cider, or choice of unique beverages. Pastries like scones are available to tempt your taste buds and accompany your beverage. Enjoy the atmosphere, or work on your laptop like a number of people do. I enjoy a nice coffee house that doesn't feel or look like a school cafeteria.Wheelchair accessibility: There is an entrance that is on the same level both inside and out. I'm not sure, though, if the counters and utensil island are set low enough to be called accessible. To me, a walking person at 5'3", it seems fairly low.The aisles are narrow and there are no designated places for wheelchairs to pull up to a table. It is a very narrow business place for a cafe. I even feel cramped.

To me, this place has the best ambiance and atmosphere. It's chill, and the seating is my favorite. It feels comfy. The windows are wide and clear, and you can sit idly and watch passerbys and let your mind wander.I've been coming here since at least fall 2016. They don't stay open as late as they used to, owing to the events of 2020 among other things, but it has still retained its local charm. They offer a 10% student discount, and you can do drip coffee refills for $1.Parking: A little tricky, but not too bad. You should be able to find some street parking nearby.

This was my first time here and I was not impressed. Tried to thank the male batista as he handed me my coffee and he just looked at me and walked away. Will not be returning.

Saw a man crossing the street from a breakfast place patio over, and noticed he went to Day's. I popped over while waiting for our food at Highlands. Cool art, pleasant staff, delish Apple cider-chai drink, scrumptious muffin with real fruit in it, with an vibe that was chill. Super glad we saw it. To the man crossing the street, I noticed a crosswalk just a few yards up you could use to cross more safely; the lights come on for cars to know to yield (the year go way too fast to risk it)!

Day's Espresso & Coffee is THE BEST in Louisville. Forget the chain stores. This is an authentic coffee shop with OUTSTANDING beans, a friendly, knowledgeable staff, and great vibe! In the heart of the Highlands.

Best coffee in town. Been coming here since the late 90s and have never been disappointed. Perfect location to sit and people watch.
Best quality beans in the city, non-smug environment, friendly and accommodating baristas, and a wonderful place to study.

There's not a lot of food options, but there are various coffee options. Lavender latte was great. Friendly staff.
