I got to try my first hot brown sandwich. Seems like a pretty steep price at 15 dollars. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly
The atmosphere was great, we ate the b.L.TI did like it, but we both agree that they used a little too much butter on the B.L.TI thought they were supposed to be toasted.Other than that, it was pretty cool.Everybody was very friendly. The bartender was nice.I wanna visit again

After a tour of Churchill Downs, we needed to grab a quick lunch before post time. We wanted to try some local Kentucky foods and the café offered the original derby pie in tart form from Kerns, Burgoo soup & grilled pimento cheese sandwich. I was expecting a sit down restaurant but here you place your order at the counter, pay, take a seat and they deliver your meal. Food was so much better than I was expecting and better than the basic atmosphere. Prices r average. The café also offers cocktails beer and wine.
Awesome place to eat and tour

Good food with friendly staff. A little expensive for what's on the menu, but everyone enjoyed it.

My Hot Brown was very good. But this is a small museum cafe, so be prepared for that. There's zero atmosphere and you may not get to sit down. The place was packed with people.

Hot brown panini and burgoo were excellent. Service was great and fast, in a nice setting. Plenty of seating. Price was fair for what we got. Nice stopping spot after touring Churchill Downs, before we proceeded to our next adventure.
I had wanted to try their famous mint julep and their derby pie, so I had to check them out. My family of three loved the derby pie. The drink was very strong! I had mainly ordered it for the glass to take home. The place is not cheap though. I spent around $60 for a family of three on two blts, chicken tenders, one derby pie which is very small, one mint julep, and two sodas. It was a fun experience to try out once though.
We stopped in for lunch between tours at Churchill Downs. The grilled cheese and tomato basil soup were darn good considering there were snow flurries in late March. We enjoyed our day at the track and a great lunch helped.

Our bartender, Jimmy Bourbon was the NICEST!!! He was such a great bartender. He made us feel very welcomed. The drinks were phenomenal! He definitely made our experience at the Kentucky Derby museum 10000000/10!!! Great guy! Thanks Jimmy!
Love the hot brown panini and the Kentucky stew.

Our group visited the Derby Museum and enjoyed lunch at the Derby Cafe after. The food was delicious. The salad, pulled pork, hot brown casserole, derby pie, and roasted vegetables were just perfect. Everyone in the group raved about the food.
Worst brisket I ever had, probably 75 percent fat.
Enjoyed getting a taste of
