Eggoholic is all shell, no substance.
I had high hopes for Eggoholic. The name alone sparked excitement—finally, a restaurant celebrating the humble egg through the lens of Indian street food, particularly the vibrant culinary traditions of Ahmedabad and Surat. Unfortunately, what I encountered was nothing short of culinary blasphemy.
The food here is an absolute joke. I'm not talking about dishes that merely miss the mark—this is food that fundamentally misunderstands what makes Indian street food special. The quality hovers somewhere below mediocre, which is being generous.
Where to even begin? The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, completely lacking the delicate texture you'd expect from proper street-style preparations. The spices—which should be the soul of any Indian dish—tasted stale and poorly balanced, as if someone had consulted a recipe book and decided to ignore half the ingredients. There was no depth, no layering of flavors, no warmth that makes you close your eyes and savor each bite.
If you've ever had authentic egg dishes from the streets of Ahmedabad or Surat, you know the magic lies in the details: the perfectly runny yolk, the charred edges from a well-seasoned tawa, the aromatic masala that dances between spicy and savory. Eggoholic delivers none of this. Instead, you get something that feels like a half-hearted approximation created by someone who has perhaps heard about Indian food but never truly experienced it.
For a restaurant that specializes in egg dishes, getting the basics this wrong is unforgivable. This isn't just bad food—it's an insult to the rich street food culture they're claiming to represent.
Save your money and your appetite.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I had chicken tandoori with rice and the flavor was amazing. It was a touch spicy but the gentleman warned me before I ordered.
The only negative is they do not have ice and I love ice in my beverage.

I had a Mango Lassi, Hum-Tum, roti, and Samosa chaat. I’ve never had anything quite like that hum-tum, but it was suggested by the person at the register, and it was delicious. I will be back to try more things!!

We got a paneer wrap and tandoori chicken kebab with rice. They were both clearly freshly made, the ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were delicious. The chicken was so juicy. Restaurant was very clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly.
