Some of the worst brisket I've ever had. Tiny servings. Sides tasted like they were bought from the Walmart deli area. I swear the potato salad tasted like Walmart's. Or maybe the sides are from Sysco. Only good thing i had was their fries.

This place is great. But I just saw they are closing by April 27th. ? But good place to eat at.

We live close by so FDKY is our go-to spot when we want some BBQ. Pulled chicken sandwich or sliders are never a bad choice. Every now and then, they have some pie or other sweets available for dessert. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for some BBQ with family or friends

My friend and I were having a craving for BBQ so I looked on the Facebook group, Louisville Takeout and a lot of people recommended FDKY and I ran with that. Everyone who recommended it was right, is some of the best BBQ in the area. When you walk in you're greeted by fire fighter/department attire and theme, which I'm glad they did because it just invites you in. I was trying to take it all in and the ambiance was set but not overly done. The menu is pretty simple. A little pricy but what BBQ place isn't pricey? This was a locally owned place so I had no qualms about the pricing. They have options for pulled pork, chicken, etc. We went during Lent season so they also had fish available.I got the brisket sandwich with loaded fries and a large drink. I originally wanted the ribs however they were sold out at the time so if you are wanting ribs, I'd try to get there earlier than we did (roughly around 6pm ish) to ensure you get them. It's my only real complaint, which is minor. My friend ordered the nachos. When our food came out I was blown away with how big her nachos were for the price. It was well worth the price and then some for what she paid. She enjoyed it and nearly devoured it all. My brisket was really good, better than most other brisket I have had. Wasn't fatty and really tender. It practically melted in your mouth and BBQ sauce. Highly recommend it. The loaded fries paired well with the meat as well. I would have liked a slice or two more of the brisket but again, another minor thing.Overall it's a wonderful place to eat, maybe bring a friend or 3 to catch up with and enjoy the nice ambiance with good food. Can't enjoy it inside? They have a drive thru as well.

We were able to get the white fish sandwich with hushpuppies, Mac & cheese, and potato salad. Every bite better then the next!! I would highly recommend the fish while they have it during Lent.

If I could give this hidden gem 10 stars, I would. New to Ky and I heard a lot about a place to get good ribs. When I walked in the atmosphere great. Clean, sports was on multiple televisions throughout the restaurant and I was met with pleasantries from the staff. I ordered a half a rack of ribs with baked beans and seasoned fries. With it came a two containers of Kentucky sweet barbecue sauce, another container with onion, pickles and jalapeño peppers, a warm crispy bread that was delicious. The ribs fell off the bone, the sauce was fantastic and I was totally satisfied (which for me, can be a task, lol). I paid $23.00, and I mistakenly gave the cashier an extra 20, WHICH SHE PROMPTLY returned. The meal was worth what I paid and I will definitely be returning.Parking: Drive through and a nice big parking lot.

Expensive pricing. This is Jtown lol... not Norton Commons.Their pricing rapidly increased since covid. Food is okay enough to get a bbq fix but just not worth it now with how expensive they are. Also they removed their lunch specials I think? I asked for the lunch pork sandwich with fries and a drink -- total was over $14! I should have declined it on the spot but I had bbq brain and wasn't thinking rationally.
