The Fishery has some of the best fish in all of Louisville, KY. The Fishery has been in St. Mathews since 1983. The staff are very kind and the Resterount is clean and has plenty of comfortable seating. If you have not tried the fish platter or fish sandwitch meal here you are truly missing out. I alwlays order fish, but recently I ordered crab cakes, they were filled with amazing authentic crab meat and tasted so good. Everything that I have ordered at The Fishery is great! The chicken and dumplings soup is amazing too. All that I have left to say is, pass on all of the other fish places, drive an extra couple of miles, try this amazing fish restaurant, you won't regret it!

We got a large to go order this past Saturday and it was packaged so well! Everything was still piping hot when we served it. My family loves the fish and all the sides. The onion rings came highly recommended and I'm so glad! They were wonderful! This little fish place is a great experience, try it!

The quality of the food is good but the portions are stingy for the price. Pay near $100 for four meals and you should not still be hungry. They do provide plenty of condiments like tartar and cocktail sauce. Now they just need to provide a bit more food. I’ll try instead to make the trek to Mike Lennigs to get a decent meal for the money.

If you love bland hospital food, come here. Barely any seasoning and business is staying alive because of local veterans and people who are curious. I know what fish can taste like and this is not it!!! Yes it’s fresh but it has absolutely no flavor!
I've been going here for what seems like a lifetime. Each and every single time the food is and always be amazing. I always order way too much, so I know ill have a great meal later on after I get home.

I was in the St. Matthews area today and was hunkering for something different. So, I decided to stop in at the Fishery. Now I tried their chicken taco with pico de Gallo. It had corn in it which threw me for a loop!!! But I’d say don’t judge before you try it. It was delicious. It balanced the spicy of the Sriracha and jalapeños perfectly.
Then I went really basic lol we had chicken tenders and fries. The tenders were nice crispy and fresh even after sitting for a few minutes they were steaming so they had to be made to order.
Family owned vibes, customer service was excellent! You have indoor and outdoor sitting options
