We stopped by to get lunch. They were very busy when we got there. That is normal for them. We placed our order and took a seat at 1 of their open tables. Our drinks came quickly & our fish/meals came shortly afterward. It was piping hot & to order. We got the 1st order Iceland Cod Platter, coleslaw, and fries and drink. The 2nd order was their huge Catfish Sandwich, a Bowl of Clam Chowder & a drink. All the employees were very polite and courteous. Even as busy as they were, the place was constantly being cleaned (the tables & area around that table). This isn't our 1st time there. We have been customers of theirs for several years. During the summer months, they do have several picnic tables outside that you can eat at. Most are under a canvas cover to protect you from any rain.Parking: They have parking on two sides of their building. It is limited & it's free.Wheelchair accessibility: They do have wheelchair accessibility but it's tight to move around in the dining area. The people employees and customers do try their best to help someone like myself in a wheelchair.

Prices have increased, while portions have decreased. Not saying that the price is not fair... just saying, don't expect what you used to receive when ordering. Disappointing.

I've probably been to The Fishery 50 + times. In summery - Used to be good food reasonably priced Based on my most recent visit food is okay, prices have increased substantially And now they have one of stupid credit card machines that guilt you into leaving a tip for carry out service Probably my last visit

Yes, The Fishery does indeed have the best fish sandwich in town, and onion rings and coleslaw as well. But its newest addition tops the chart for the best tacos in town. They are amazing in flavor and beautiful in presentation. Every bite was savory. I must admit though that I also love their crab cakes and the sauce that is served with them, a combination to crave. And then there's some of the best, if not the best, clam chowder in this city. It is so hardy that I found it to be my number one choice to warm the insides on cold winter days. Whatever one orders at The Fishery, you cannot go wrong. It is all amazing. Enjoy!

I don't understand the amount of business this place gets, except there's no where else in the same area to get fish or seafood. It's not a reflection then, that the food or prices are necessarily any good. It just means there's no other option close by. Because indeed, the food is mediocre at best, with some items being complete fails. And the portions are small. Yet the prices are high, not making this place a good value for the money at all. The service is iffy, as the counter staff can be very brusque, even surly, and orders are frequently incorrect, or missing items. If you get carry out, I highly suggest you open up the bag and check the contents, before you get home and are disappointed to find an incorrect or incomplete order, when it is too late. I might have just made my last ever visit, based on my most recent experience. I ordered plain (not blackened) grilled catfish. First, this fish was not grilled whatsoever. It must have been poached. It was swimming in liquid and was totally limp, without any firmness at all. Also, lemon had been placed, loose, in the container with the fish and liquid, flavoring it like lemon. I do not like lemon. Why would they assume that I do? Or why not just put the lemon slice in a separate little container? The portion of fish was so thin, it was nearly translucent, and i probably could have read a newspaper through it. And it was so small that it was about three forkfuls of protein, as my entree! It couldn't have even weighed two ounces. It was not fleshy or firm. It had no catfish flavor, which people who like catfish actually want it to have, and is the reason they choose to order it over a milder tasting fish. It was totally bland and undistinguishable as catfish. In fact, the only flavor it had at all, was of course, again, the unwanted lemon flavor. Frankly, I think it might have been their baked cod, instead of being catfish at all. But once you're already at home with your takeout, what can you do? And if you've ever been here, you know the side items are more like child-size portions. So, I was left still hungry, and unsatisfied with both the amount and taste of my dinner. The meal struck out completely, on quality and quantity. But worst of all, was that this "platter", is priced at 16 dollars (ok, 15.95) plus tax. Over 16 dollars!! Not only is that not a good value, that is an unfair and indecent price to charge for what I received. The Fishery is spoiled to it's lack of competition, and had better have some regard for their customers experiences and shrinking wallets, before they run them all away. I would have given zero stars for this meal, except this review system requires that you give at least one star. Buyer beware, is all I can say...
