As a Louisville realtor, I’m always trying out the best local restaurants to share with clients—and Gogi 1055 Korean BBQ is a must-visit if you’re in the city! 🥢🔥
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is modern, fun, and perfect for both date night and group dinners. The all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ experience is incredible—the meats are high-quality, the marinades are packed with flavor, and the variety of sides and sauces makes every bite different and exciting. Love this place, but the portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. It’s pretty clear this place is struggling. You cannot chase profits by lowering value and raising prices. Business 101.
You know a place is in trouble when they start putting photos in the windows. So unbelievably tacky. Stop it. It doesn’t work. It screams desperation. I’m embarrassed for you all.

We recently celebrated a special occasion with my family at GOGi 1055, and let me just say our experience was absolutely top-tier. We had a party of 10, and from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of.
The food selection was both versatile and appetizing something for everyone to enjoy. Everything we tried was flavorful and fresh, and the hands-on BBQ experience made it even more fun for our group.
What truly set this experience apart, though, was the exceptional service. At one point, we accidentally overcooked one of our meats, and to our surprise, the owner himself came out, kindly offered support, and even replaced the portion without hesitation. That level of care is rare. He and his team checked on every table consistently to make sure guests had everything they needed.
The customer service speaks volumes—it’s the kind that makes you feel valued and excited to come back again and again. GOGi 1055 isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place that genuinely honors hospitality and good food. Highly recommend and they are a 10 star establishment for sure.

After four years in Korea, you don’t just eat Korean food, you carry it with you. The sizzle of pork belly, the funk of kimchi, the ritual of wrapping meat in lettuce with a flick of ssamjang. It becomes part of your DNA. So when you’re on the road, chasing that flavor memory, most places fall short. But GOGi 1055? It hits different.
This place doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel—it just makes sure the wheel is hot, marbled, and marinated. The grill crackles, the soju flows, and for a moment, Bardstown Road fades into the background. You’re back in a smoky joint in Hongdae, elbow to elbow with strangers, sharing fire and fermented heat.
The staff gets it. The vibe is loud, fast, and unapologetically Korean. And the food? It doesn’t just taste right—it feels right. Like home, if home came with banchan and a side of nostalgia.

Located on bustling Bardstown Road in Louisville, KY, Gogi is the perfect place to go for smaller groups or a sweet date. The only downside to Gogi is the parking situation. There are few pay-parking lots, and surrounding businesses do not appreciate strange cars in their lots. Parallel parking is a skill that might need to be exercised here. Once you overcome that small trial, the rest of the Gogi experience is beyond pleasurable. One can go the simple route, which is ordering perfectly pre-cooked Korean cuisine, or you can order platters/combos of raw meats that can be cooked to your personal preference(s) on the grills built into the tables. Each of these raw meat platters/combos come with an abundance of sides and appetizers that genuinely reflect authentic Korean cuisine. The quantity of food/price ratio is exceptionally favorable when ordering the larger combos for smaller groups.

We have been here multiple times, it’s one of my husband and my favorite date night spots. We drive about 45 minutes to come here. Tonight we brought the entire family. Sadly, the experience wasn’t what we hoped for. The OWNER took it upon himself to cook our food. Half the table didn’t even get some of the meat because he served it out to only one side. The owner didn’t even ask if we needed help or who wanted food. The experience felt rushed, and we weren’t able to fully enjoy our time together.
After talking with several staff members, this has been a reoccurring issue and lots of customers have been upset about it. Even though it wasn’t our servers fault, they were extremely kind and apologized profusely.

All five stars. It is a bit pricey but the delicious food and nice clean, mellow atmosphere is worth it. I sat at the bar and got an entree with some grape Soju. The salad was crispy and had an amazing, delicious Korean style dressing. The Hot Stone Bibimbapwa amazing.
