Green District Salads - Middletown

This is my favorite restaurant for lunch in Louisville. High quality, fresh ingredients, unique combinations, always fast and pleasant service. You don’t have to sacrifice taste for a healthy meal. It is a little more expensive but totally worth every penny in my opinion!

Do not eat here. This store was filthy. The girls working were nice, even though one was wearing pink hello kitty fuzzy pajama pants. Not professional looking at all. The iceberg container was near empty. The lettuce was clear, soggy and brown. When I asked if there was any fresher lettuce I was told that lettuce was fine bc she was pretty sure it was cut "this morning" I was there at 6:30pm. The drink machine looked like it has never been cleaned. Against my better judgement I took my salad home, ate it and sure enough ended up getting sicker than a dog and threw up all night. Save yourself the food poisoning.

Shoutout to Mariah at Green District in Middletown! She is very kind and has a great attention to detail… but I want to specifically outline 1 situation she handled extremely well.
It was a busy lunch rush in the middle of the work week, and there were multiple large orders coming in at the same time. Amongst the busyness of the rush, one of the orders was wrongly taken, and Mariah quickly realized and took action, she even went as far as running outside to catch the business that took the wrong order and apologized for the inconvenience! She handled it extremely well she hustled, and also re-compensated the customer. Great job Mariah ??

Meh. $80 for four people to eat salads and chips. Staff skimps on toppings, as evidenced by the four mini wonton strips that decorated the top of the salad. It was evident by the way they placed the toppings that they were trained to stretch the food as much as possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were counting the exact number of black beans while they scoop them from the container. On a positive note, the dressings were delicious but again, they give you about 1 tablespoon worth of dressing. Chicken for my hubby’s Nashville Chicken salad looked pale and uncooked, similar to winter skin on the first day of summer. Panera Bread has nothing on them when it comes to price gouging.

I usually love my time here, and the food was good, however, the service staff was innatentive and extremely nonchalant. They forgot my salmon and gave me a half spoiled avocado and just did not care to be bothered by it.
