This is in a prime location on Bardestown road in an old bank building. They did a great job with the renovations and in the morning the sun beams in making the shop really toasty. When the weather is nice, I'd opt to sit outside. I ordered a matcha latte but was not asked what kind of milk or if I wanted any sweetener in it. It was a bit on the chalky side which makes me think they didn't mix it well but the quality was good. I also had a breakfast burrito which I believe had egg and cheese. It also came with a deep sauce that has a bit of a kick to it - delicious! The price is what got me, almost $20 for a small breakfast burrito and a matcha latte. Woof.

One of the few cafes in Lou that serves cake with their coffee. That's worth 5 stars by itself. Coffee is great, ambience is amazing. Extra points for staying open til 9. Ample seating. Only negative is that the parking lot out back is Paid parking. Staff did say parking across the street at Walgreens/Starbucks is free.

I met a friend for coffee here with our daughters. We each got a different dessert, which I cannot say enough good things about. The girls got hot chocolates, which were a great temperature for kids, and the adults got salted caramel lattes. We loved it!Kid-friendliness: We sat out on the patio, which was perfect with our little girls. There's not a ton of space, so the children have to be in control of their bodies, but there was plenty of kid friendly food.

Highlights: The cheesecake. Omg. Delicious!! I went with the pistachio cheesecake, it was perfectly balanced with a white chocolate pistachio topping covered in crushed pistachios and rose petals. The cheesecake was nice and dense. Lots of other options that all look amazing. Coffee, tea and flavor options are fantastic! Service was great.Low points: While the flavor options are wonderful, the coffee itself could use much improvement. It was bitter and watery (Think Starbucks coffee but watered down). I was disappointed as my saffron breve latte could have been phenomenal if paired with good espresso. The music is a bit loud, too intense for a morning cup with conversation. Better suited for dinner music.Overall: I would come back to try out some of the tea options and other baked goods for take out. I would pass on their coffee and look for another place if wanting to dine in.Parking: Haraz is located in a beautiful historic area. Parking is a bit hit or miss. I ended up driving up a block to find street parking in the residential area behind the cafe. There was some street parking, with fees, for around $7 for 60min.

Got the Harazi coffee and a cinammon roll. It's delicious! If you're a fan of Turkish style coffee (it's yemeni but I'm trying to make a familiar connection :) you will enjoy the place and the selection. If you're not a fan, they still have more familiar options like lattes, teas and refreshers. And they have plenty of pastries as well! If it's anything like the cinammon roll, in taste and quality, then you really can't go wrong. It's always a huge plus for me when there are real mugs and silverware when you dine in so that was a nice experience, it's getting rarer these days. Can't wait to try more of their stuff!

The pistachio latte with oat milk was divine! My girlfriend said her Turkish coffe was good and loaded with cardamom. Her cherry danish was also flaky and delicious! Would recommend!

I attempted my 1st visit this morning. When I was trying to order I had a few questions regarding the menu. The cashier was not helpful at all and I ended up going to Starbucks across the street. The place was dead when I walked in and it’s such a disappointment because of how nice it is in there. I was excited to try. Good customer service goes a long way.

I am absolutely appalled at the experience I had at this location. I'm usually even-tempered, understanding and patient, but this truly upset me.My boyfriend and I came here today in mid afternoon when it wasn't too busy. From the moment we walked in the door, the cashier/barista had an attitude with us, as if we were bothering her just by being there. She was annoyed when we asked what the price of an empanada was, and when I asked for another shot in my cortado. My boyfriend got one of the refreshers, which was pretty tasty. He also had an everything bagel with cream cheese. It was chewy and soft, as if it it had been warmed in a microwave and not toasted. Here is where I began to get frustrated: the espresso in my cortado tasted bitter and burnt. As a barista, I know what bad espresso tastes like--burnt and bitter. My croissant was also chewy and soggy, again warmed in a microwave. I politely went to the counter to ask if I could have something else, because the drink was not good. The owner (whom I was speaking to) asked what I wanted, after telling the barista I wanted another something. I said I wanted the chai, and he said "cool", and told the barista. She then proceeded to bring a latte to my table and not the chai I asked for. I asked where the chai was and the only answer I got was "I already made another drink for you" even though it's not what I asked for. I told her this, again politely, and she tried to charge me for the chai. I had already spent $30 at this place, and what I paid for was not good. I was not spending another dime when no one was listening to me. I don't like causing a scene, but I firmly believe that if I drop $7 on supposedly amazing coffee, I should get what I pay for.The barista accused me of being disrespectful when I was not. The owner stood by and said nothing.I might have been more willing to pay for the chai if I hadn't felt so insulted by the way I was being treated. I get it, being a barista is hard and some days are tough, but that doesn't mean you can be rude to your customers.Haraz, I really wanted to like what you've got going on, especially since you're in partnership with my old workplace, Fante's Coffee, and Leo spoke so highly of you all. I hope you can improve the customer service aspect, and figure out a way to properly heat food and make your coffee better.
