Heitzman’s Bakery was a party-saver!! Thank you to the team for making my last-minute order happen! I ordered two-dozen Bavarian style pretzels for an Oktoberfest party from a bougie internet pretzel company and paid extra for overnight shipping to ensure the pretzels were perfectly fresh. The day before the party, “bougie pretzels” texted an apology saying they wouldn’t be sending the order until the next week. Heitzman’s not only made two dozen delicious pretzels for the next day, but they also had some wonderful cookies that were very popular with my guests. Thanks again and I will be ordering from this bakery again.

We hired Heitzman to cater for our Whitehall wedding on 09.14.25. We couldn't have asked for a better catering experience! From start to finish, everything was completely stress-free thanks to their amazing customer service. They went above and beyond to take care of us and our guests by offering delicious vegan and vegetarian options, providing excellent bar service, and even making sure our leftover food was packed up for us at the end of the night.
The food was incredible and so many guests complimented both the meal and cake. Everything was beautifully presented, flavorful, and served right on time.
If you're looking for a caterer who delivers on taste, service, and peace of mind, this is the one to book!

Paid for my wedding cake in full on 9/14/24 for my wedding on June 21, 2025. I ordered a 4 tiered simple piping cake to be delivered to Huber's Orchard and Winery. My husband and I live in Indiana, and we went into the bakery 3-4 times throughout the months leading up to the wedding to verify all the details and delivery time. I called Thursday 6/19, and I was promised my original delivery time of 3pm by the latest. I was assured it would be delivered between noon and 3pm. The day of my wedding at 3 pm comes and goes with no sign of the cake. My day of coordinator, mother, mother in law, Florist, and my aunt are all calling Heitzmans to see where the cake is. Nobody is answering! Finally, my day of coordinator reaches the delivery driver, and he tells her he is a few minutes out. The cake did not arrive until 5:15 pm!! My ceremony started at 5:30 pm!!! It was carried in on one shoulder by a man and dropped off, which I witnessed lining up for the ceremony. My florist asked the 3 people that dropped it off to help put the flowers on because they were going to drop it and leave. When I called today to get my delivery fee refunded, the driver told me he was there before the ceremony, and I was harsh for asking for the delivery fee refunded. He also said that they hand put all the flowers on the cake, which is not true because my florist asked them to help put flowers on and the conversation was witnessed by my day of coordinator, my mother in law and obviously the florist. I asked for my delivery fee refunded, and I was told I was being too harsh! The guy I was speaking to was one of the people who delivered my cake on my wedding day! Eventually, he agreed to refund my $75 delivery fee. Other brides should know my experience if you're getting married at a distance from the bakery. I was very disappointed because up to the wedding day, everyone had been wonderful to work with, but I would be cautious to have anything delivered at a distance. Update: The owners son called me 7 times in the matter of 10 minutes after posting this review. He said I was being unreasonable for posting this review. I told him I was too upset to speak with him, and I would call at a later date. I spoke with the owner Marguerite today who was unapologetic about the situation and how her son handles business. I am very disappointed in this company. She shared that they were not late and they were supposed to be there before the ceremony started, even if its 10-15 minutes before walking down the aisle and your cake is not decorated. She also said they have been in business for 5 generations and cakes will always be delivered one handed and on a sweaty person's shoulder. Also, I still have not gotten my $75 delivery fee refunded. It has been over a week. We are supposed to get a "free anniversary cake" at our 1 year so my husband and I started eating our top tier of our wedding cake and it is not the correct flavor. It was supposed to be almond/white and strawberry. The top tier is all strawberry. I would not recommend having any specialty cake ordered or delivered from this company. Rude, unapologetic, unprofessional, and not worth the stress.
Drove 20 minutes after Sunday mass. You think they would be ready for customers especially on weekend. 1 person behind the counter helping an undecided customer.
2 ladies behind the counter had their back turned from the counter & oblivious to anything going on, customer (me) never acknowledged me)trying to figure out something on computer. By the time the guy finished with the undecided customer he seemed bothered and in a rush. I asked for 1lb of cookies he looked at me like I was crazy! He said, we sell them by dozen $12. I was surprised, being that the cookies are only the size of a quarter!!!! Reluctantly I picked out 12
They were stale l. The brownies I picked out were also $12 that I could get same at Kroger for $5. The canollies were soggy. My total was $48 dollars. I felt extremely ripped off for quality and poor customer service
There are no price lists available at the bakery counter. Even the menu has no prices for cookies, pastries, donuts etc. Cakes are outrageously priced at like $30.
Soooo disappointed! Will not be going back! Seems the new look at Heitzman are only interested in serving the sit down café. Totally unorganized and not customer friendly or experienced in the bakery area!

Ordered a cake for my wedding and the cake was delivered literally 10 minutes before the ceremony when it was promised 3 hours before. Our wedding coordinator had to call them repeatedly to get them to answer the phone. It’s like they completely forgot about our wedding cake delivery. The cake flavors were wrong and they were combative when we followed up about all this. Extremely rude and not remorseful in the slightest for messing things up on our wedding day. DO NOT GET YOUR WEDDING CAKE FROM HERE
Do not order ahead of time even by 30 minutes because you will still have to wait behind everyone placing a new order .
