The Original Highland Fish Market (Middletown)

Stopped in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. They were very helpful and told me exactly what to do! And this was some of the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life. Can’t wait to come back for more

The fish market in the Highlands smells like a fish market should smell, which is not how the fish section at Kroger smells. The raw oysters were fantastic and 'Evan' at the Highlands location explained how to determine if an oyster had opened up or if it was sealed by knocking on the oyster and listening for a particular sound. 10 out of ten, five out of five.
If they don't have what you are looking for, they can order it in a day or two. This is the perfect location for locals or people from the other end of town to get spectacular seafood. I think I'm going to get some shrimp and yellowtail when I return. I just need to find someone to cook for.

I was actually at the new location in the Highlands, and it was lovely. Beautiful fresh fish, helpful staff.

My husband brought home the blue fin tuna this weekend and the way he cooked it was so delicious; it tasted like a filet mignon🥰 we’ll definitely make this dish for future guests. The product quality, freshness and selection is fantastic at Highland Fish. And, they help advise you on how to cook your seafood for the best taste at home.

I love supporting local businesses versus the larger stores. This is a family owned FRESH seafood (not just fish) market. The service is amazing, the staff is super friendly, the store is very clean and organized and they are competitively priced! I will be back, thank you for being in our community!

I am from the Texas Gulf Coast, so I Love Seafood! Heard about Highland Fish Market and decided to try them out. Bought some Red Snapper today. Great quality and super fresh. Came out well. I know where to buy fresh, quality seafood here now!

Smoked salmon is the best!

We visited highland & purchased scrod/salmon & crab legs . The staff was very knowledgeable to help us select our fish & suggestions on how to cook the crab legs. Dinner was so amazing we went back the next day to purchase the same thing. If you want fresh fish this is your spot.

I bought a pound of scallops and a pound of raw shrimp from Highland and it is by far the best looking/tasting seafood I have found in Louisville. The shop is extremely clean and has a nice seafood smell. Everything looked fresh and they had a nice variety. It is not cheap by any means but if buying seafood you shouldn’t skimp! Hands down better and fresher seafood than Whole Foods! Went back today to get more shrimp and scallops along with some homemade crab cakes… Highly Recommend!

The fish is always fresh, and the customer service is amazing. These guys are very knowledgeable about what they sell.
