I love the food, the orange juice being advertised as “fresh squeezed” is pretty criminal considering you can taste the concentrate.

Got the eggs Benedict and sweet and spicy egg samwich. Both were very good and affordable. There were more seating options available in adjacent rooms as well.

A great local eatery for breakfast. Some real good options on the menu. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the biscuit and gravy omelette. The chorizo in my wife’s dish was very good. It reminded me of the authentic flavor I missed from mexican family recipes.

The service was great. The staff was pleasant, and made our experience very good… much better than some of the eateries in the downtown area.

This place felt like a joint at which the locals would eat, so it was much appreciated. Good food, at a good value. Menu was priced well.

I took my 2 young granddaughters to breakfast this morning. We chose Highland Morning and it was our first time going. I was handed an adult menu and a kids menu. At the top of the kids menu it had one price, $7.99, followed by a list of choices. A drink choice, a meat choice, an egg choice and a pancake/waffle choice. Anyone with any sense would believe that everything was included in that price. I ordered 2 kids breakfasts. I then ordered a SIDE of French Toast and a SIDE or bacon for me. I also pointed to both in the ‘SIDES’ menu in front of the waitress while ordering. Now mind you, I have no idea how many pieces of Fresh Toast equals a side. I was served 2 pieces, (which were so soggy in the middle, so I could only eat around the outside, and I ate less than half of it). However. I did not complain about them being under cooked. Our waitress was pleasant and very friendly to the girls so I chose to ignore it. Now, I rarely inspect a check. If the total looks reasonable, I just pay it and go on, but when she brought the check it was $50! One adult that got 2 sides and 2 kids breakfasts. I first noticed that she charged me and additional $8 for the kids drinks. She said she was sorry, she was new, and I was right, they were included in the kids breakfasts and she removed the milk charges. After I looked at the bill further, I noticed that she charged me for the full French Toast breakfast for $12. The side was only $5. When I asked her to make the adjustment, she refused saying that it didn’t matter WHAT I ORDERED, what I received (2 pieces) was a full order and I should pay for what I received. What?! She then looked down at my plate and smarted off that ‘it looked like more than half to her’. Are you kidding? How in the world would I have known that what I received was a full order, and what were they going to do if I did know and said something? Take a piece off the plate and carry it back to the kitchen?? This was a server error. And I couldn’t eat it all anyway due to being undercooked. Another staff member comes over and talks to me like trash and told me that I was going to pay for a full order because that’s what I received! I then demanded to speak with a manager and she says, ‘well they’re going to tell you the same thing’ with a bunch of attitude. The manager comes out with the same attitude and says, ‘well, were you specific when you ordered and told her you wanted a ‘side’? I told her, of course, and she says that ‘because you’re a first time customer’ and didn’t realize I got a full order, she would let it slide THIS TIME. This time? What? In what universe does a restaurant behave this way?? I ordered exactly what I wanted. She didn’t write it down nor was she experienced, the food wasn’t cooked right, and I’m the problem? When I told the manager that I didn’t appreciate her other staff member talking to me like I was white trash, she threw my credit card on the table and told me not to come back. Lol Ma’am/Sir - I already said I wouldn’t be back. And this happened in front of a full crowd. She also threw her hands up and said, ‘well, we all work really hard and deserve to make money!’ What??!! Do you think I DON’T work hard for mine and I should have just paid the $50 and let it go because they work hard? Give me a break. I’ve never had such an unprofessional restaurant experience in my life.

This place was absolutely incredible! Every single thing we had was delicious. Our favorites were the biscuits and gravy (best gravy ever!), the grits of the day- broccoli cheddar grits, and the not brown sandwich. Even their side of fruit was high quality with berries, grapes, and oranges. We would absolutely come back and you will not be disappointed!

This place has to be the absolute worst breakfast I have ever had!! First we order Bloody Marys, they were absolutely disgusting! Second we ordered the ultimate burrito, supposed to have steak , egg, onion, and bell peppers. It was mostly egg. Third watched a male server making drinks and touching the garnish with his hands, but he’d touch his hair, face , or clothes after every garnish he used. He also touched the mouth piece of the straws. Overall this place is just disgusting and wouldn’t recommend! Had breakfast on April 29, 2026 at 10am.

Great breakfast options, cozy interior good friendly service. We go here often for a quiet and pleasant time. Highlight is just the food, breakfast till afternoon! The pictures on the walls show famous people and places from Louisville and just transport you into the soul of Louisville.
The wait staff is extremely friendly and generous.
Also its fun before and after just generally hanging out and walking around in the Bardstown road area.

Stopped by this place for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 9am. We were seated right away by friendly staff. It looked like it was good timing on our part because there was quite a few people waiting by the time we finished our meal. I had the Monte cristo, she had the spicy breakfast sandwich and we both had coffee. Very good food and energy at this place. When we got the bill and it was less than $30! If we are ever in Louisville again we will be back.
