If you want a good breakfast, give them a try. I'd also recommend their pineapple upside down cake.

I've tried twice but won't be back. seems to take forever for the food to get to the table but when you do get it it's room temp not even warm. Food is bland not much flavor. I heard it was good but after the 1st time I wasn't impressed. I was talked into trying it again as we live close. Maybe I'm missing something but it's not worth a 3rd trip for me.

Visiting Kentucky from Australia and highly recommend stopping by here. Amazing breakfast and fried chicken with great atmosphere!

The ladies and staff are top notch. every time i have been treated with care and always checking on me. They learn my name and great me every time I come in the door. Will continue to always have my lunch with these great group of people.

The beef stew tasted like Progresso soup. The cornbread was dry and tasteless. The Fried Green Tomatoes were just as bad. My friend got a burger and she said that was pretty good thus I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Our waitress was very nice though.

I wanted to give this place a better review but between the pancakes having bits of meat cooked into them and them not offering real butter and only the cheap butter flavored vegetable oil spread I feel like i just can't. I was seated and wasn't quite ready to order so the waitress left and was gone for want seemed like a whole 10 minutes before she circled back around to grab my order. The food came out hot and correct. The pancakes tasted good and had good texture but the bits of meat that got cooked into them was a bother. The grits also tasted watery and lacking in flavor. I went on a Saturday just before noon and they were packed and I'm sure there's a reason for this and unfortunately I'm likely missing something but I can only speak on what i had to eat and how my first visit went with them. I may try it again next time i need a haircut at the barbershop a few doors down.

Come here several times a month and it never disappoints. Very friendly staff, quick service and good food. Coffee might be the best in Louisville.

My family chose Hillview Family Diner because it is near the Cinemas. We were very pleased with the menu & the quality of the food. The service was excellent, & the atmosphere was great. We will definitely eat here again. Thank you very much for an awesome morning!!!
