I really dislike Belgian, German, and strong beers, but the ambiance more than makes up for my apprehension. Came here after visiting the cemetery, and what a spot. Sitting inside or outside (great view of Manikin Pis), doesn’t matter you will love the space and want to order a beer. I took pics of their beer menu. I forget what I ordered but it was tolerable. There were only a few people here so I took a tour to take some pics while it was empty. Such a great spot would come again next time I’m in Louisville!

This is a must visit location if you’re in Louisville, anyone who visits from out of town, we bring them here first. The ambiance is so quaint and unique, the menu changes seasonally and the options never disappoint, everything here is meticulously designed, and the staff are always exceptionally thoughtful and subject matter experts.

This is one of my go to spots, but after an interaction with a disgruntled employee I’ll probably stay away for a bit.

Absolutely amazing everything a bit pricy but well worth it. Drinks and food were phenomenal, not a bad thing on the menu!!

We are visiting from Floruda, saw this place online and wanted to check it out. Beautiful venue but outside service was real bad.
The bartender outside was rude and short with us.

This place was awesome! We came on a slow Monday night for dinner. They don't allow children in the main area, but you can go outside (too hot) or upstairs, which was perfect. We were the only ones up there for most of the meal.

The venue is a gorgeous converted church and they lean into the vibe with an excellent selection of beers, mostly Belgian and German. The food menu isn't too extensive, but there was something for everyone and all the options we tried were delicious. I forget our server's name, but he was incredibly chill and knowledgeable.

Highly recommended and would love to return if I find myself back in Louisville.

Very unique in a very good way! Popular place; friendly staff; nicely repurposed chapel with interesting decor. Beer is primarily sourced from Belgium and Germany; however, beer from US and other countries, too. Schnitzel was a winner!

I've always wanted to go to a Beer Church! Great atmosphere. We sat upstairs, which did not slow down service. Our server was quick and very knowledgeable about the extensive beer selection and the building. I didn't get a full menu picture, just one of a great Italian pilsner. I'm not usually a pilsner fan, but i followed a server recommendation and found a new favorite. I had the pork schnitzel. It is huge, and paired well with fruit, veggies and sauce. My wife had salmon with little tasty potatoes and the best asparagus I've ever had. The patio area looked cool, but we didn't get the full experience. Thanks for a great dinner, Holy Grale!

This place was magnificent for the vibe but a bit pricey for the food. Really, isn't that the case anywhere these days though? I think the entrees were worth the price but the appetizer was small for what we paid. Service was great with our server having great knowledge of the menu and beers. We went to the restaurant and sat upstairs. Beautiful place! Pictures show some of the garden area as well.
