Over the weekend I placed an order for a half sheet cake for my daughter’s baptism at the Highlands Pie Kitchen. When I picked it up I was absolutely SHOCKED at how bad the quality was. As far as my end of town, there is no place to get homemade pie and cake like this place. So you have to rate it five stars. There's no competition. You can go buy that pre-frozen stuff at the grocery stores and the chain stores if you want. And that's fine, but I feel like I'm getting my quality ingredients and freshness from here.
This is mine and my Husband's favorite dessert place in all of Louisville. We've been coming here for years and the quality has stayed the same which we love as there is nothing worse than finding out recipes or ingredients have changed and isn't as good. That definitely won't happen here. It's clear they pride themselves on literally being homemade and it shows!
