Brittany at Fern Creek store was amazing. She was very helpful and professional and got us together for last minute treats for our son’s birthday!
Over the weekend I placed an order for a half sheet cake for my daughter’s baptism at the Highlands Pie Kitchen. When I picked it up I was absolutely SHOCKED at how bad the quality was. The writing was in print, and there were no decorative roses at all. I immediately called the Pie Kitchen in Fern Creek & asked if their baker had better penmanship and could fix the cake and they were working on my cake within 10 minutes. Their amazing baker Lance spent 45 minutes of his time redoing the cake and made it beautiful!!! I cannot thank the workers and Lance at the Fern Creek location enough for saving the day!
Your fern creek location is well below average in service, quality, cleanliness and overall experience. My daughters first choice of ice cream for her milkshake, we were told was freezer burnt. How old is your ice cream that it's becoming freezer burnt and un- servable? Your milkshakes only come in 1 size, major service flaw there. The milkshakes I ordered were both served with ice cream dripping down the cup making a mess on the counter, the staff saw this and just apologized rather than clean it off before handing it to me. Amazing service! Maybe even award winning. Great training you must provide when onboardimg your new staff. The straws provided for your milkshakes were possibly from the dollar store as they were cheap and flimsy. My children couldn't even drink the milkshakes until we got home and I could provide decent straws. The staff have zero personality and customer service skills. This location looks run down. The cakes and pies you have on display look old enough to collect dust, not sure if you understand how presentation works when marketing your product. The overall atmosphere is a bit depressing. I'm fairly confident I could open up a ice cream truck in your parking lot and steal all of your limited business. Do better or close your doors. At this rate you're only doing a disservice to the public.

I got 2 pies (lemon meringue & Reese's) yesterday at the Fern Creek location, and they were both yummmmyyyy!
This place was recommended by an old neighbor who now lives In Kentucky. This place did not disappoint. My cousin had the buttermilk pie which she said was so good she went back for another one. I had the upside down cupcake and cookie dough ice cream which both were good. My husband had the cheesecake and the chocolate chip cookie.
Always great quality but $27 for a pumpkin pie?? Same thing available at other local stores for $18-20 LESS.
Horrible customer service in Fern Creek!! This establishment used to be the best, great ice cream and pies and customer service was spot on. No more! I moved from Louisville 18 years ago and visit the pie kitchen when In Louisville. This will be my last trip.
Mocha chip and chocolate chip ice creams were delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try one of the delicious looking pies!
home made pie and ice cream is a staple in the Louisville community and their food is wonderful and employees great but it's pretty pathetic that the location.on Bardstown Rd has had this terrible stairway and ramp way for years that multiple patrons and employees have requested be fixed yet nothing gets done. it is a lawsuit waiting to happen because it's rusty metal and unstable so much that you have to walk along the edges on your tip toes to not fall in. I saw a gentleman the other day jump onto the door holding on cause he thought he was falling through. when someone does they will slice their leg right through that rusty sharp metal!
Great place, I will definitely make the drive to Louisville just to visit this place again.

yesterday I was in the area of the New Albany, IN location so I stopped in. Wasn't going to pay $21 for a pie so I bought an apple pie off the bargain table for $8+. It was HORRIBLE. Probably should have been tossed and not sitting out and sold. Had an awful metallic taste. Wasted my money as we couldn't eat it and had to throw it in the trash. Not only that, but the women who rung me up wasn't very nice. Will not return.
I recommend the Banana 4 Layer. I don’t eat everyone’s banana pudding. This is
Excellent pecan pie and coconut-pecan-chocolate ice cream, but terrible blueberry pie: few blueberries, lots of goo, thick crust, and an awful, weird chemical-y taste.
We came for ice cream and ended up with cake and pie. Both were delicious and the staff was very friendly.
The Fern Creek location lacks making sure their cookies are fresh. I’m so tired of buying rock hard sugar cookies. They are my favorite which is why I’ve had so many bad experiences with these cookies. Do better on not serving old rock hard cookies. Really tired paying almost $6 for 2 cookies I end up tossing. They are disgusting and not edible!
