This was my fourth experience and every time the food and service have been exceptional! My husband and I usually order the Chicken Succar and it is one of the best chicken and rice dishes I have ever had! You get a lot of food, usually enough for two servings, for a great price!

Delicious! First time having Somalian food! Reminded me of the dishes I would eat in Tanzania. So good all round.
The food was fresh flavorful and absolutely delicious. Fair pricing for the huge portions and quality of the food.

Everything is always so good! The chicken suqaar is my favorite and the green hot sauce is so spicy and delicious. The owners are very friendly and super welcoming. One of my favorite restaurants in Louisville and they have 2 locations. 💚

I’ve lived in Louisville for 22 years so I thought I was very familiarized with the international cuisines offered locally. Boy was I wrong. This establishment may not have fine dining written all over it but the soul is there. I drive 35 minutes away from home weekly just for a plate from this place, it is TRULY that good. The seasoning is to a perfect consistency, the salsas are decadent and the rice is out of this world. So happy to know Louisville offers this authenticity within their community’s, check them out!

The owner was very accommodating. He made me some veggie sambusas even though they were not on the menu. He is very kind and the food is delicious!
Vegetarian options: The rice and lentil soup are vegetarian friendly. If you want veggie sambusas they are available if you call ahead and order for an event

Abhu is such a great host; kind and had great recommendations. Its family oriented and his customers obviously think very highly of him. The chicken legs with rice were DYNAMITE! Pretty spicy and very tender. The rice is legendary.

This isn't limited to Somali food, and their sign advertises them as also a Bakery. The only obvious possible locally baked goods I saw were packages of Naan bread at about $27.00 per package. I was looking for more baked options to be in line with their sign claiming to be a bakery. Not once did anyone make any attempt to greet or offer to assist or even say, "Excuse me," they were more concerned about deciding if they should or shouldn't use a cart to bring out goods to stock.Except for that, the business is more of a market with a very large selection of ethnic products.
