My family and I ate at Alexander’s at Oxmoor in Louisville, KY tonight. I ordered the pork entree as I usually do. Tonight the pork was over done and very dry. This is my favorite restaurant, but tonight was very disappointing. I was there with my husband, our son and his wife. The food was not hot. Service was very slow. I was most disappointed with both the service and the food.

Very good place to go for a good meal. Take a jacket or sweater if you are cold nature like me, reason I was cold but I had two cups of coffee. I will be back love the place. Just a hint I noticed outside dining maybe consider making it screened in. The Pork Loin, Prime rib, Salmon, broccoli, smashed potatoes, baked potatoes. And our appetizer was the Mexico City Spinach Con Queso with tortilla chips.
Steak burger was delicious. Mandy was a great server. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Caleb made a fantastic drink. Overall 100%

This was overall a really good experience and the only reason I rated the food four stars is that the steaks were not seasoned. They were cooked perfectly - my strip was medium rare and my wife's filet medium. I don't know how you put out good quality cuts of meat and fail to season them. Other than that I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I hadn't been to J. Alexander's Restaurant in quite a while, so I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy their food this time even more than I remembered the last time I visited them.
The prime rib sandwich served aujus with grilled onions, and horseradish on a crusty, fresh-baked hoagie roll was so tasty!! It came with crispy shoestring french fries.
I also had their spicy pineapple margarita, which had a nice little kick to it and was just right!
Parking: There's plenty of so unless you plan to dine there during prime times such as lunch or dinner, you won't likely have any parking issues.
Wheelchair accessibility: Their are designated spaces for your convenience.

ordered a medium ribeye, got a borderline well done ribeye. sent it back and the second steak was good, but out of the 3 steaks my husband and i ordered, they were all very tough and hard to chew. the mac and cheese is called "not your ordinary" mac and cheese... yet it was very ordinary. the food is overpriced for the quality. we would have much preferred going to texas roadhouse considering the cost and experience, but we figured we would try this out. it was our first and definitely last time going to this restaurant. we were both very unimpressed. the service on the other hand was excellent!!! the hostess, server, and manager were all very kind and helpful when we had questions about the menu. additionally, my husbands cocktail and our queso appetizer were delicious!
Not satisfied with my visit AT ALL, i’ve been here numerous times in the past and never really had problems, raw burger once but manager made that right. Visited again for lunch and ordered the steak sandwich, sandwich came out practically raw/rare as the server didn’t even acknowledge my steak was NOT cooked medium instead her response was “okay what do you want us to do… cook it longer?”, never got to speak with a manger or supervisor and was still chargerd after waiting of 30 minutes for the original order and having to wait for a remake, waitress wasn’t attentive at all and my quick lunch turned into 1hr 40 minutes very quick. 12:00-1:40

Today I had one of the best service experiences ever! And not just at J. Alexander’s, but at any restaurant. Our waitress, Leah, was exceptional. She never let anyone’s drink get below halfway empty, was consistently attentive but never made us feel rushed, and had such a friendly, patient disposition. Upon realizing we were celebrating a birthday, she updated the bill so that our carrot cake was free and even sent us home with an extra piece :) When we asked for boxes, she brought us sauces in to-go containers without us having to ask. Of course, the food was delicious as always. Such a wonderful experience!

Not sure what’s happened over time but this was my only bad experience! My food was freezing cold like they took it from a fridge and put it on a plate. The fact that I paid 50+ for a meal and it was ice cold is insane.

I got the filet mignon with baked potato. The potato was cold and the fillet had a terrible taste and was very blackened. I really want to return the whole meal and get my money back. Will not return.
