Absolutely lovely lunch ! Warm and hospitable service from Will . Lobster roll, Burger and Fried green tomatoes were all excellent. Will definitely return next visit to Louisville !
We are transplants from Columbus. OH, spoiled foodies by Cameron Mitchell restaurants & were delighted with our meal, especially the oyster appetizer served atop rich, delectable grits. Our waitress was friendly, super-attentive, and top notch. We'll be back after experiencing this restaurant for this first time.
Really great food and service. I had tried to get a reservation many times and couldn't until now, but when we ate I felt a little disappointed. The heirloom tomato latkes were the best thing we had, ceasar salad was not great. It was okay, but not really what I expected. And the short rib was also good. Really solid food, just didn't live up to the hype for me.
We love this iconic spot and it is always such a treat to go. The food was delicious, the cocktails were also delicious. One thing that could be vastly improved is the NA mocktail menu. It is really surprising and disappointing that Jack Fry's doesn't have much of a selection. Take a trip to Canary Club to check out what can be done and please really do better on the NA menu. There is so much room for creativity and many of us would also spend $$ to be able to enjoy a thoughtfully made mocktail - not just a glass of lemonade or something literally called “mocktail”.
The warm Brie salad is my favorite. I had the salmon and my husband had the pork chop-both delicious. Service is always good.
Always a fantastic experience. Jack Frye's is always consistent from quality of food to service. They were very sweet on our Anniversary and made it a wonderful evening.
Jack Fry's is my favorite Louisville restaurant! It's like stepping back in time, I love the speakeasy feel of the restaurant, it's has fantastic ambience. And the food is top-notch fantastic – I take my NYC foodie friends here when they come to visit, and they all love it. My favorite appetizer is the Fried Oysters, my favorite entree is the Bourbon Braised Short Ribs, and my favorite dessert is the cobbler. But everything I've ever had is just amazing! It's classic Louisville! Also, they have the originlal bar from 1933, and they make a great old-fashioned...
Excellent food with a healthy dose of nostalgia, Jack Fry's clearly deserves all the awards it has won. This is a Louisville treasure not to be missed.
There are no words to describe how wonderful everything experienced during our visit. Exceptional meal, amazing service and fantastic ambience!! Truly the best in a very long time!!
Environment, Food and Service was all first rate! 5 starts - Best Restaurant 40 years running for my money! Celebrated our 41st Anniversary!

Jack Fry's never disappoints! Our meals were excellent and the service (Michael) was superb. We look forward to our next visit.
Had a wonderful lunch there with Vanessa as our server. I had the special salad that was delicious and our service was amazing. Everyone checked to make sure we were enjoying our lunch...and we certainly did. Can't wait to go back.
What a fantastic meal, we loved every dish! The pork chop was so delicious and the lamb chops were amazing. Thank you for treating us so well, we'd definitely come back!
Excellent, as always. A little expensive, but you pay for the quality and service. Quiet only because we were there off hours.
Jack Fry's is always an extraordinary experience. From the service, presentation, and ambience to the perfectly prepared cuisine, every experience there exceeds my dining expectations.
