Outside of Chicago, I doubt you will find better Chicago style pizza. The deep dish options were all great and very tasty. My one reservation is the lack of toppings in the deep dish. My entire table also noticed and would have liked to have seen more meat on the meat lovers pizza. Besides that, the service and atmosphere was great, a big fan of the LEGO sets in the windows.

Outside of driving to Chicago and ordering a deep dish pizza this is the closest your going to get to a deep dish in Louisville! The pizza did have a lot of tomato chucks in it, which wasn't bad but in my personal perspective im not a huge fan of chucky pizza sause. In the main room they only had one TV but the secondary room with the bar had 4 tvs (which makes its a pretty nice spot to watch a few games).

We came for louder than life, and it was our first trip to Louisville!! To say we had a great time is an understatement! On the way home, we decided to stop at Jake and Elwood's for a Chicago deep dish pizza. (I've always wanted to try one and their pics of them looked AMAZING!) Needless to say, it was as good as what I thought it would be and more! The atmosphere was super nice and the gentleman in there was constantly cleaning and making sure everything was perfect. It was so great and highly recommended! I believe this will be a stop everytime we come to Louisville (because this trip definitely will NOT be the last!)!

We ordered the pepperoni pizza and liked it. I have had many pizzas while visiting Chicago and this is very similar. Our pie had just a little too much salt but still great.

I will give the place 5 stars because it literally brought us back to Chicago the first time we had a deep dish! We ordered the deep dish Wrigleyville (hint the last neighbourhood I lived in when I was in Chicago) and the bruschetta ? I loved the posters and Chicago vibe ✨

I really enjoyed the Italian beef sandwich. We also had the poutine which was fantastic. I have been here several times and the Chicago style pizza is really good too.

Great place to have great food! The deep dish pizza was truly Chicago style and delicious. The Chicago dogs were excellent, layers of veggies. It was nice to be able to get a real Poutine in town. Loved having a selection of old style beers. It has been a while since we have had a Hamms or Genesee Cream Ale and they were great! Hollis and her crew were very attentive and the atmosphere a good hint of Chicago. There is a very nice patio outback but temps were close to melting, so we dined in the cool inside. We just had one issue, the Cubs were playing but the only game on in the dining room was the Reds.

This was one of the best places I have been to in a long time. I wish I would have found this gem earlier. I have only had the Chicago style deep dish called The Disaster. Well worth the money. It was the best I have ever had. It was layers of toppings sauce cheese and love!!!If the food was all there was to talk about that would be enough but I have to give a shout out to Sarah and Heather. Two beautiful and very nice women that helped us with every need we had. Everyone was friendly and helpful but I miss Sarah already lol.Do yourself a favor and try anything from Jake and Elwoods I don't think you will be disappointed.

I recently moved to Louisville from Chicago, and this is a piece of home. The owner is so friendly and the food is delicious. It's just like being in a neighborhood bar back in Chicago. Every time I go I have to get the deep dish, Italian beef, and hot dogs - I can never just choose one, they are all so good! I wish I could go weekly but would not be good for my waistline:). But I will definitely be frequenting during football season! ?⬇️!

The restaurant was different that what I had in mind...you walk in, you order at the counter...I was expecting a waiter/waitress....no big deal. The menu was big but not overwhelming. Of course I was there to try the AUTHENTIC Chicago Style Deep Dish. $33 later, it arrived. It looked better than I expected it would. But how did it taste? I compare all Chicago deep gosh to Lou Malnati's...it's the peak! This was no Lou's but nothing is. So on its own, it was REALLY GOOD! Fresh sauce on top of loads of cheese and sausage. The crust was decent...I expected it served in a pan but it wasn't...so the edges on the crust was different than I pictured. But yeah, it was very very good! I highly recommend if you wanna try Chicago deep dish and live near Louisville....it's a close as you may get without driving the 6 hours north. ??

Delicious Chicago deep dish pizza, everything about it was amazing: crust, cheese, toppings, sauce!!! We got the caramelized crust. Get the large so you have leftovers--most pizzas aren't great reheated but this was just as good out of the microwave the next day!

The staff was friendly to my family, they were kind and honestly went beyond what was necessary, which I appreciate.I ordered a chilli cheese dog just to try it, my family got a pizza which I had a slice of and I also had half of a Caesar salad.I'm going to be honest, nothing was very impressive about any of it unfortunately.just sort of so-so. Not bad by any means but nothing I plan to be back for.The pizza was underwhelming, but to be fair it didn't come with the toppings I would have preferred. I imagine the meat style one would be far better.Out of the three menu items I ate, I liked the chili cheese dog the best.it is what it is!

Went here to see the Band Blues Brothers and an Elvis Impersonator the people was nice fun Atmosphere sit outside back patio where Band performed went in side to oder food it was nice and clean we got our food pictures attached maybe I should of ordered the pizza because the Chilli dog didn't cut it for me it was rubbery, and well just not good. But other then that I would definitely recommend this place.

all things Chicago, down to Pepsi, no Coke. It's a deep dish place as well as beef or dogs. Self seat, you place order and brought to your table. Bar, table or patio seating

Arrive on a Sunday late afternoon. The bartender was nice, asked if we had ever been to the restaurant before and suggested we look around before being seated. We chose outside. The weather was nice enough so we chose the patio and outside dining. The e was nothing unique. You had a choice of picnic table or metal table and chairs. Service was bar side. The order time was reasonable and service was reasonable but nothing special. The pizza (thin crust) was average. Crust was tough. No real taste.
