Hot chicken that’s not hot, even when ordered “ghost” level. Chicken was dry and just not flavorful. The Parmesan garlic fries were good and so was the Oreo dessert. I don’t think I would eat at another Joella’s. Maybe it’s this location? Plenty of other great places to try in Louisville, for sure!

Really Disappointed
This was my first time here, and honestly, it was a bad experience. I showed up at 10:45 AM, and the cashier rushed me through my order just so she could get back to talking with her boyfriend.
The food wasn’t any better. The chicken tenders came out without sauce on some of them, and two weren’t even fully cooked. I was really looking forward to trying this place, but it just didn’t live up to the hype.

Not impressed. Stopped for lunch after the rush. Food came out semi-cold. I would have expected hot food given the lunch crowd already left.
Amazing chicken, especially the chicken tenders. The atmosphere is nice but somewhat noisy because of the chairs sliding on the ground. The service was fantastic!

Update:
We won't recently after not being there a long time. The food is no longer as good as it once was. The heat levels were almost non-existent. The chicken was dry and mealy. The fries were still decent, but overall it was a disappointment. It would appear that the chain has sold out.
Note: they now serve Coke products

Pretty good. I like the shoe-string style fries. The chicken is good, though they can be stingy with the sauce. The decor is strange. Overall an alright experience, although over priced.

This was my first time here, and I’m now a fan. There are other spots to get hot Nashville chicken, and Joalla’s does it really well. I like that you can pick the spicy level, and I got the hot, which was good, but I’ll go spicier the next time. The sandwich was really good, and the mac and cheese was solid. The service was fast and friendly.

This is the best fried hot chicken we ever had. Also their rosemary fries are delicious. We were on our way to Chicago and we specially stopped by just to eat here driving an extra 30min.

Everything was excellent for a working dinner after work; however, they do not have public Wi-Fi so that does hurt working on a laptop.

I placed my order several times and the cashier/ Manager just couldn't get it right,I get all the way home and find out he Charged me for 2 orders of fries I Stated I only wanted Tenders and Waffles. I called back to complain because I wanted to be refunded for my fries and he stated he was the Manager/ cashier that took my order and he wasnt refunding my $$$!!!
I will NOT BE RETURNING TO THAT STORE.

I love Joella’s. My big setback for a while has been the sticky finish on the tables. Eating here now and they FINALLY refinished these nasty a$$ tables. Thank you!

Bottom line: This may very well be the best hot chicken sandwich I’ve ever had!! Decided to try this place after craving some chicken. Went when they opened and received quick service from a pleasant staff. Ordered the “Big Classic” chicken sandwich, once with the “Tweener” heat level and once with the “hot” heat level. First off, it’s a chicken thigh instead of a chicken breast which makes it so much more flavorful and juicy! It is also a good size thigh that’s breaded enough to give you a crunch as you bite into it, but not so much that it takes away from the actual chicken. It’s coated nicely in the heat level sauce you choose and is not over powering. The Tweener is great for someone who wants to eat a hot chicken sandwich without it being too spicy with heat. The Hot chicken sandwich is great for those that enjoy spicy food but don’t want to feel it burn going down (or coming out)😬. The heat is subtle at first and sort of sneaks up as you enjoy the sandwich. It leaves you wanting another sandwich after you finish which may be why they have a reorder line next to where you place your original order! The fries are okay in my opinion, they are super small and skinny sort of like Freddy’s or Steak N Shake fries, but they aren’t bad, just not my preferred method. Do yourself a huge favor and visit this place for some good chicken! Prices are very fair and even cheaper then some other chicken sandwich restaurants in the area. Next time I will get the Ghost Pepper heat level chicken sandwich and a couple of jumbo tenders with Mac n cheese. Will update after consumption. Cannot wait 🤤

The chicken was better than usual but didn't have much breading to hold the sauce it was tossed in. Still, cannot go wrong eating there.
