Derby Pie, often associated with the Kentucky Derby, has been around since 1950. Chocolate and walnuts in a pastry shell, dressed up with some whipped cream, and you have yourself a sweet treat. The recipe is secret and trademarked, so if the pie doesn't come from Kern's, it isn't authentic Derby Pie. Usually, it will go by a different name, such as May Day Pie.
