Kiwa is so special. The sandwiches here are seriously next-level — fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care you can taste it. Every bite feels like a little flavor explosion. The vibe is calm and modern, and the staff is super friendly. If you haven’t tried Kiwa yet, go. Just go. You’ll thank yourself (and probably crave it again the next day).

This is one of the most consistently delicious cafés I've ever been to. I'd been previously by myself, and today our party of four all ordered different things and we were all thrilled with the food and drinks. I can't remember the last time that happened. I can personally vouch for the miso ham sandwich, the spicy shrimp sandwich with cheese, the bulgogi salad with oriental dressing, and the white chocolate matcha latte, which is a summer offering. I was so glad that I found Kiwa when visiting Louisville. What I loved about Kiwa was the high ceiling, simple decoration and aesthetic/relaxing vibe. I made my own matcha drinks every morning using matcha sourced from Japan, so I do have a high expectation when it comes to matcha. I ordered an iced matcha latte at Kiwa and they definitely nailed it. My partner had the sesame latte and it was really good as well. Kiwa is such a hidden gem in Louisville. I can’t wait to go back...
